EDIT: Voting has now closed and Kanaloa's Wrath by Minister Muffin wins! Thank you to all who participated, and all who voted.

ForgeHub and GrifballHUB collaborated to host the Hammerfall Grifball Forge Contest challenging the community to create an awesome Grifball court, and sure enough, they delivered. The contest received 72 spectacular community Forge creations of such high calibre that most would be welcome additions to the Grifball Matchmaking Playlist.

The Hammerfall Grifball Court Forge contest results are in. The top three courts (in random order) are...

The judge panel between ForgeHub and GrifballHub provided for some extremely mixed results to reach our top 3 finalists. Please help us refine our selections further by participating in our community vote hosted on HaloWaypoint! The first place winner will receive an extra $300, creating a grand total of $500!

      No.

My comments were to just point out how it could have been done better. Perhaps a pm would have been more appropriate.

Your emphasis to build community is entirely correct.

I personally thought the way it was run was amazing. Clear communication, transparency up the wazoo and a nice overview of all maps with feedback that allows to get your map up to standard before judging. Especially Nokyard did a great job putting a ton of time in giving people feedback on their entries to make them at least up the standard.

You can disagree with the result all you want, but whining about the contest itself is ridiculous.

True. Nokyard's dedication was awesome. Very helpful indeed.

      Thanks again.

I liked how this contest was handled, being able to watch a video of the judges/people reacting to and giving constructive criticism of my maps not only gave me a massive buzz but it also improved my forging and made me want to make further maps for future contests.

Contests and challenges give forge more relevance. Not only does they showcase great creations for multiplayer potential but strengthens the sense of community which ultimately increases the longevity of the game.

I truly loved how we 'tried' to handle the contest. From the Trello Boards to the Live Streams, everything. This is something that I hope we do more of. I know the timing could have been done faster, but coordinating several judges and their different time requirements turned out to be quite challenging sometimes, but we managed to say the least. I think Nokyard did a fantastic job, he literally was our pivot man in during the entire operation, something I think we should consider in the future of contests. Someone who has no interests in the results of the judging and can be instrumental into the contests coordination.

@NOKYARD Thanks man for your hard work and dedication to the Halo community. Regardless of how the voting turned out, all of the judges and their votes turned from the personal thoughts and opinions on their best choices.

My top 5 differed greatly from most of the other judges, but the good thing that did come out of this, none of our votes weighed on any other judges votes. All votes were sent to Nokyard privately and was announced to us as the livestream happened. Same with the final courts, our final 5 votes went to him and only until all judges submitted were we able to know the results.

Anywho, I plan on sending out the feedback form soon regarding the contest. So stay tuned.

      So my map was disqualified.

But if anyone wants to check it out.
