    343 Industries partnered up with Paramount Pictures to host their very first Forge contest in Halo 5 inspired by the new film, Ghost in the Shell. Participants were given visual guidelines to base their creations on that would thematically tie in with the trailer for the film. Forgers had approximately 20 days to finalize their creations and there were close to 100 submissions. The judge panel consisted of two parties, community and organizers. The community panel was comprised of well known forgers from across the globe such as ArturBloodshot (Mexico), WyvernZu (Sweden), Zandril (Philippines), Mr Pokephile (Canada) and Warholic (USA). We tried to be as transparent and open about the judging process as possible and did our best to establish the best creations under the time period we were given. You can view the GitS Trello board we set up so that we could be transparent with our judging methods and provide general feedback. We also set up twitch streams while we were judging to provide you guys with our reactions in real time. As you can imagine, this process is never easy but we were all thrilled to be a part of this and hope to see more contests from 343 in the future.

    Thanks to everyone that participated, it was really impressive to see all of this incredibly themed content in just 20 days of forging. 343 and Paramount were able to complete the final stage of judging and selected some of the greatest entries from the contest. Our very own Sikamikanico won second place and will be sharing images of the needler replica once it arrives at his doorstep;) Randy will be flown to CA to experience the HCS world championships first hand in Burbank. Overall, I think this was a fun and pleasant experience and would love to see more events like this hosted by 343 in the future.

      Is the map submitted by MythicFritz an updated version of this from @Blaze? I was looking forward to seeing that design come to fruition. I'll have to check it out.

      If I remember correctly, that is correct.

      That video by @Unfound and @BaconMedia, talk about HYPE!! Congrats to all of the creators of the contest! That was no doubt a tough road to design & create something in that short span of time.

      Yes, it is. Was submitted as a co-forge map. In my knowledge the design was done by @Blaze and the art and all the other stuff by @MythicFritz
      Loved the great GITS references such as the gnarled tree engraved in the wall like in the OG Movie and The Laughing Man from Stand Alone Complex /,,/

      I found this contest-theme was a little too "special". All I know from Ghost in the Shell was this 90s music video (King of my castle) :D
      Well, in the end, all 3 Maps seem to feature this Mech - also known from the music video. Heaven't seen the other maps, but is this really usable from the series?
