    Hey there fellow forgers! It's almost mid November and we're ready to finally share the results of the Community Favorite Map public vote! With pride, here are the nominations from all of your wonderful creations this past season:

    These maps are great and we look forward to seeing what you all can come up with in the future. Without further adieu, let's announce our top three winners!
    Last Resort is a remake of the unmistakable Halo classic Zanzibar and is an arrow clean through a nostalgic heart. Everything from the high levels of detail to intuitive use of piece blending and natural item manipulation set the bar extremely high on this map. This is a definite must have for anyone looking to pursue a classics night or for those looking to bathe in some old school Halo nostalgia.

    Inspired by the Shanghai mission in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, this map is a pure tribute to the power of detail. There is no shortage of things to marvel at on this map, whether it be the decorative fully furnished interiors or the amazing fully functional automatic elevators this map is sure to impress. To boot, Grand Hyatt Hotel has one of the best forger created skyboxs I have ever seen and this map id worth the bookmark and like for sure!

    You voted and here it is! Your grand winner for October Community Favorites, Thelios! To get the inside scoop on this expansive greek inspired play space, I interviewed Unfound, the map owner.

    Ascend: What inspired you and the guys you worked with to take on the Greece theme?

    Unfound: What mainly inspired me was the architecture of Santorini for instance the beautiful setting is has: the iconic blue roofs, house designs, path layout, recognisable windmills and the religious structures that it has to offer. I felt it could be a really fun place to have a match on, Santorini's known as a great location for parkour so I tried to incorporate that into our map for instance jumping from roof to roof, climbing buildings using balconies.

    Ascend: How long did you all spend working on the map?

    Unfound: Well I started mid September building the windmill, church tower and Oia bells, I thought they'd be pretty interesting callouts. At this point I didn't really intend on making a 4v4 map until my co forger Exi suggested the idea, he's responsible for general layout and I'm responsible for how it actually looks visually. Without him the map wouldn't have come as far as it has.

    Ascend: What is your favorite part of the map?

    Unfound: My favourite part of the map? Definitely Hotel. We found through playtesting it was the main hotspot throughout the matches, there are so many ways to play in that area you'll love it. My personal way to play is to sneak in through the vent and drop down for overshield.

    Ascend: Do feel like this is your proudest work, or was it a shock to you?

    Unfound: I'd say It definitely is our proudest work, to be honest this is actually my first ever 4v4 map, I've dabbled with forge through the years but never have I helped create something as detailed and fun as Thelios. But yeah I would say it was a shock to see the amount of views and downloads it has absolutely. It's been so much fun evolving this map to make it play better and overall more enjoyable.

    Ascend: What can we expect in the future from you?

    Unfound: What to expect? Well hopefully more core maps, It'll probably be another real world location, perhaps Venice or Mexico, a place with its own story to tell, unique buildings, culture and atmosphere. Thanks for the support forgehub!
