That's not the point. The point is to showcase maps that people put a lot of work into. To take their chance in the spotlight and butcher the article for the sake of more views is degrading to them and to the site.

I like that you "spoiler" the troll article though. I liked it, it was fun and entertaining, but I just don't think such articles should be written in articles where you feature someones work.
