I think the map can certainly be competitive without opening up LoS across the entirety of the map. Each area as it is, is suitable for the mid range of combat style of play, which is where the DMR stands out. Opening up cross map LoS will, I think, isolate parts of the map, rather than opening them up. I hope the crates have made it through intact.

Are the lack of LoS across the map problematic? I've thought more about it and I'm not so sure making into an arena would necessarily be helpful, in fact it might hurt the map more than help. Also, adding additional upper areas as well as the necessary height transitions would be detrimental to the maps core integrity and utterly change it, possible and I think most likely for worse. I think the actual problem faced in the map are the choke points. They are too narrow and far too easy to control and that I feel is the root of the problem. Adding more to the map will overlook this and be another head ache in and of itself. If you could make the stairways leading up to the upper bridges more spacey, like the height transitions in Rat Race, for example, then many of the problems the map faces could be solved that way, without redoing much of the map.
