lol, no problem. I actually ended up doing something with my night.

Down low, in that little alcove bit. It's in front of the back stairs down from flag spawn, or you can get there by dropping down that hole halfway along the long walkway bit along one side of the map. In fact the drop down is just to the right of where you finally assassinated that guy in your clip. And obviously bottom mid instead of plas launcher in Pro as well.

Damn you're right, that also assumes on Slayer Pro since it's a Plas Launcher in default gametypes (ie. Rockets never moved from there, but they're only the Pro replacement).

Pretty much, I prefer having Rockets but that's only a good idea if you spawn top and go via them, otherwise you're right that venturing out just isn't worth it. I first tried it in team, ie. having a guy at tower to block that spawn (well, as much is as possible, spawn people right ****ing above/below me why don't you?) and watching mid drop down and grenade launcher. But it works a shocking amount even in FFA when you're just doing it on your own, so funny.

They just designed a poor map for varying ranges of weapons versus one another, then attempted to counter that with a lopsided spawn system, and as you say weapon layout doesn't really help it much either. Though the moment I actually understood bottom setup it got much easier to play.

Yeah I can see that tbh. The Cage actually plays a lot better with forced DMR start and no power weapons, I gotta say. I still dislike it, but it's definitely the gametype I enjoyed it most for. Though I had a great game of 3v3 AR start default on it the other day. Any time I grabbed Snipes I was landing really tight shots.

I really like Powerhouse tbh, haven't had it yet in FFA Arena but it plays Rumble Pit pretty well.

Yeah I really wish Bungie would put some solidly spawned maps in the rotation, also the maps the playlist seems to focus weighting on are (as always in Reach) not the ones I would have chosen. Sword Base doesn't work well imo.

Though at least spawn problems are sporadic and affect you for one death without putting your team on the backfoot like in a team game.

Especially considering that they're harder to get in Reach than H3, I think that it may have been questionable in H3 but in Reach it's nicely balanced and so counting them makes sense. As I said before, perhaps a 0.9 multiplier for assists would work, but I'm not too fussed either way tbh.

Weird, it should have. Maybe they changed it? I know a lot of people were complaining (wrongly so imo), but I would assume any changes would be held back until the start of next season.
