hay u. i just realized that the infraction you gave me was permanent. That gives me now a total of three permanent infractions and therefore prevents my use of signatures and/or the Off Topic forum, therefore voiding the purpose for which i am present at this site. I would ask that you please make my infraction temporary rather than permanent so i can continue to use this site. If, however, this is not possible, i would like to bid you farewell.

Question: Do you deal with "in thread" stuff, or do you just go around moderating?

More specific, if their was a problem, do I refer you to it, or is that just for like guardians?

In Jane Austen's Persuasion, Anne Elliot has a surprising discussion with a shy naval officer about the relative merits of Sir Walter Scott and Lord Byron, and finds Captain Benwick to be "so intimately acquainted with all the tenderest songs of the one poet, and all the impassioned descriptions of hopeless agony of the other; he repeated, with such tremulous feeling, the various lines which imaged a broken heart, or a mind destroyed by wretchedness and looked so entirely as if he meant to be understood, that she ventured to hope he did not always read only poetry; and to say, that she thought it was the misfortune of poetry, to be seldom safely enjoyed by those who enjoyed it completely; and that the strong feelings which alone could estimate it truly, were the very feelings which ought to taste it but sparingly."

In Don Juan, Byron presented the public with his ruminations on celebrity:

What is the end of fame? 'tis but to fill
A certain portion of uncertain paper:
Some liken it to climbing up a hill,
      Whose summit, like all hills, is lost in vapour;
For this men write, speak, preach, and heroes kill,
And bards burn what they call their "midnight taper,"
To have, when the original is dust,
A name, a wretched picture, and worst bust.

What are the hopes of man? Old Egypt's King
      Cheops erected the first pyramid
And largest, thinking it was just the thing
To keep his memory whole, and mummy hid:
      But somebody or other rummaging,
      Burglariously broke his coffin's lid.
Let not a moment give you or me hopes,
Since not a pinch of dust remains of Cheops.

When you're in the moderator control panel, editing someones profile, you can type in everything for someones profile but there isn't a "save" button.

So I thought, "Okay I'll just hit enter", the page loads, and it changes back. Any ideas on how to get it to actually work?
