So, you threaten to ban me for making a map with a friend which we decided to share? This website is about sharing and critiquing forge made maps and by banning me for posting a map to get feedback on said map, you contradict the purpose of this website. You have no justified reason to lock my thread and deny me the rights of any other person posting on this map. I will admit, however, the map title is an inside joke between us and the grenade pile was also only to be taken as a joke. However, you based your assumption on the map as a whole being a joke presumably by the way I worded most of my post and the previous stated factors alone. For all you know, this could be my very first map made in Forge. Besides, even if it was a complete joke, you still have no right to close it anyway. It's still a map made in forge, the post is up to standards, the map is playable, etc.
Right, I hope you don't think I was trying to call you heartless or anything. Just a side thought, though... Can you try to use logic on the my side of the argument? I tried as I could, but couldn't come up with anything sound.
Excuse me? Grow up? I think you seem to be mistaken... I thought the point of this website and community was to create, share, and give feedback on other members creations in Halo 3's Forge. All I did was post a map that me and a friend of mine spent time creating in hopes of getting feedback on said map. However, you decided to assume that the map was a joke, as well as the thread, and lock the thread preventing any feedback from being given. You then go even further and decide to insult me for making a supposed 'joke map/thread. The actions you have taken upon on my map thread have been, in my opinion, completely unnecessary and based entirely on assumption. Therefore, I conclude that you have absolutely no reason to close my thread and insult me in any way.
It's my passion for life, plants, and animals, that makes me hate human nature. So, hey, if your logic is telling you that is the way you should feel about things, then so be it. I just know that when the day comes, where small towns become apartment complex riddled, I will be one sad puppy.
I never said anything about logic. You knew full well what I where I stood, why did I have to openly say that?
I'll admit, I'm an extreme hypocrite, as I throw my cigarette butts out the car window, and have other various basic human lazy traits, which conflict in everything I've said. "Nothing deserves anything in real terms, only we put such ideas upon things." That holds true, because we are the intelligent beings here. Not the trees & forests. What do you want from me, though? Call me an extremist, but I do feel it wrong to choose human progression over our environments well-being.
When I say that they deserve to live more then us, I say that because we are the ones who are being so destructive. If we were more considerate towards them, then I would feel no side deserved anything over the other. The fact that the earth is beautiful, is merely one of my reasons as to why I feel the earth is so much more important then human existence. The other reasons are the countless other species, which we kill off, by destroying their natural habitat. "If you're not religious then where does this inherent sense of justice come from?" I don't know... Maybe it was when I was growing up... I watched the movie "Fern Gully." I don't know if you've ever seen it. Though, since then, I've always done my best to make people think twice about what they are doing to the earth, prior to them doing it. (1000 char max)
Alright, the thing is: Planet Earth doesn't have emotions, it's not sentient, etc. I completely understand that. It doesn't have the ability to make decisions & stop us from our destructive behavior. Though, how does that make it okay? Just because it doesn't feel, doesn't mean that we shouldn't feel guilty for our actions. We are destroying something beautiful. By removing plant life, we're removing various species of bugs & animals, which thrive off each other. I could say, in turn, we are hurting ourselves, but I really don't care about the human race (if you hadn't noticed). We're only hurting the hundreds of thousands of species of animals/insects/plants. They are all living things, which deserve; just as much as, if not more then, humans; to live.
Sounds good. I'll only have an hour because I have to prep my in-class essay tomorrow, but otherwise, sweet. And please, not the whip.... not the whip...
Do you really feel it so necessary to be so scientific about the well-being of Earth? I understand completely what you're saying, but I feel like that's just one hell of an excuse to continue our species' rampage.
