Haha, I was waiting for someone to ask that. It's part of a deal I have with zigywig. He encouraged me to put my favorite woman as my avvy, just like he did. Don't worry, I'll change it back to Frodo again at least by the end of July (maybe earlier). I love him too much to not to. :P

Trust me, post count and the associated ranks aren't worth worrying about, no one really looks at it anyway. Engaging in discussions that interest you and getting to know people as a result is the best approach to posting.

Heya, sorry I've actually retired from being staff really recently (hence the grey now) so I'm afraid I don't have the powers to delete groups anymore. Another staff member should be able to help you out, though.

As for becoming staff, back when I got my rank they were always promoted from the Loyal/Premium ranks, and since I had Loyal I was eligible. When the staff decide that they need a new member, they'd just pick from the eligible people. Now we don't have the Loyal rank in the same way, so potentially anyone on the site can be selected to be a staff member when it's decided that they need to promote a new one. Obviously you'll want to be a known member, specifically known to be helpful and mature. In terms of active things you can do, joining the Testers Guild or the Review Hub are great starts. Try working your way up to a blue rank in either of those and it can really help show that you're dedicated to helping out, which is an essential quality when the staff look to promote new people.
