I'm back =)

I was watching some drumlines warm up, and I remember thinking "Damn, these guys are amazing!"... they ended up coming in 19th. It was actually my second favorite show, even if it wasn't the best technically

Oh it definitely is, I got to go to the Eastern Classic this year, and it was amazing. Crown, Cadets, Crusaders, Vanguard, Cavaliers, Bluecoats, Blue Devils, Scouts, and Phantom were all there. :O <--that's me after the show.

Oh man, I'd love to play for Phantom... but I doubt I'd be able to make it haha I'm thinking about trying out for Jersey Surf in a few years, I don't have enough time atm. And other than that, I pretty much have a choice of the Boston Crusaders and The Cadets, soooo I better get practicing.

I'm looking into joining a corps, but I'm at a level where the normal ones would be way too boring, but all the "elite" ones are too hard. There are some where I can see myself fitting in, but they are from the entire other side of the country :/

We have 18 between battery and the pit atm... and maybe a third of them are good. Freshmen year was definitely the best, our baseline was so dirty. But we've lost a bunch of people since then and we're not as good :(

Are you even still on the Review Staff?

Yeah, but if I also have to set up a party of (usually) at least eight people to play a map a few times to review it. Aesthetic maps don't require that, therefore: they are easier.

Trust me, I can write bullshit all day long.

I wish we could go to something sick like that. We don't play anything after regionals because we don't have the money to travel that far :(
But our percussion section is pretty dirty, the guy who writes our music studied at the new england conservatory and played with the cadets for a couple years and our drumline instructor marched snare with the cadets for four years.

Stupid grays.

Those are some amazing choices; if I didn't march I'd definitely be playing timp. We actually just went to championships and got best percussion there. Yay!

I'm going for chem engineering with a minor in either computer science or interactive media and game development :D

And what genre do you play? I'm more into marching snare, but I'm pretty good at set too
