What I'm saying is that if you laugh at someone for insulting you, then ban them, it only makes you as good as they are. You took this whole conversation into thinking I was trying to defend him. I know he deserved to be banned, and I'll try and keep him from doing so again. The point is you should be showing a good example since you are a mod. People will look up to you, and if that's what you do when you ban people, they're most likely going to do the same thing. In the end, you're only encouraging them to do what you've been trying to tell them not to do.

B: I never said that you shouldn't ban someone for insulting you. The problem I have is that everyone else gets away with it if it's not a moderator they're insulting. Yes, you should ban them, but the only people I've seen you ban are the ones that have insulted you. You also watch people offend each other, but I don't see you taking action at all. Happens all the time in the countdown thread, and I see you viewing it.

I know he was wrong, but you're wrong to do that. While he does deserve to be laughed at, do you think you have the authority to do so? You do not have the right to give it too him. We are not in the position to decide the just punishment of someone else. Even though we have free will, we don't own their lives.

And so what if he insulted you? That's no right to ban him. If he deserves to be banned because he was insulting you, then almost every member on here should be banned for insulting someone else.
