Why have a windmill in space?

I’ll spare you the usual four paragraphs of storytime on this one. This is my remake of Zanzibar, made while listening to a lecture series for school. I measured the map with parallel screens, and every major distance was measured by comparing walking times. The smaller distances were measured using the Warthogs in both maps. The power weapon layout is accurate as well, although I did have to replace the Active Camo with Speed Boost.

I’m fairly pleased with how the aesthetics came out as well. I thought it would bother me, but I actually don’t mind the gear-esque look that the stunt ramps create for the wheel. While I was not able to create any of the moving parts in the original, my use of Jersey Barriers as cover for the turret platform does allow for some of the destructibility present in Halo 2.

The Map is set up for default gametypes in addition to KOTH and CTF.

I didn't really play all that much Halo 2, but I always did enjoy Last Resort from Halo 3. From you pics I looks like a pretty decent remake of the old Halo 2 map. I'll have to give it a download and try it out.
