So I recently editted a video in windows movie maker, published it to my computer, then loaded it onto youtube as .wmv file. Everything is working fine, but when you view the video (below), it's formatted all weird. It's centered with 2 black bars on the side and it's in widescreen mode. Is there anyway to fix this?

i'm mostly concerned about it being centered with the big empty spaces on the side. the widescreen thing i can deal with, unless there is a fix to that as well.

Try saving the video codec differently?
Try saving it in 720p, thats how I save all my stuff, and it gets uploaded as an HD video on Youtube.

When you save the video, eventually there will be an option to save it as a different kind of quality, then just click 720p.

You should be able to choose crop settings, just turn of the black bars.
In sony vegas you just click the crop icon on the video and set the resize to source to No
