Taking the plunge on the first testing for Launch. Still some frame rate issues to be worked on, and expect to make quite a few changes but should be all ready for strongholds and slayer.
Can I get "Thermal" in for next weekend? Should be "Thermal 5th Playtest", but it's not saved yet. Also, I'll be there tonight!

Only got around to playing a game of Slayer on each map once. The lobby would have gone on longer, but most of the participants (all the participants) did not enjoy the maps enough for the second round. That's not to say the maps were bad by any means, but they could do with more refinement. Genji Framerate Weapon layout wasn't liked Scorched Palace Fairly well received **** the SMGs Thitches Forgers complained it looked like it was made of prefabs (haters gonna hate) Played very sloooooooooow Very top heavy Tops of bases easy to camp BR's spawn on top of bases, arguably the best position on the map Reconciled Very confusing to navigate Easy as **** to use power weapons Aesthetics clash... Covy pieces don't mesh well with the attempted Covy aesthetic Launch Framerate Spawns on top level Top heavy BRs on best location (top level) Bottom level extremely disconnected from the rest of the map If anyone would like to go over their map in forge with me, I'd be happy to spitball ideas with you. I'm restructuring my lobby a bit after last night's **** show. While I was originally planning to host a lobby on Saturday and Sunday, for the meantime I will only be hosting Saturdays. Saturday will be dedicated to less refined maps, those that are currently in their Alpha or Beta builds. I kindly ask that if you show up to play, that you stick around for the second play through of each map on their requested gametype and provide short feedback after each game as outlined in the OP. Sundays will start up in about a month or so, and will focus exclusively on polished designs.

(Yes/No) #2: Did you feel like you had a strategy each round? (Yes/No) #3: General thoughts on weapon selection - what felt strong? What felt weak? Meta request: since Breakout tends to play a lot faster than Arena, I'd like to request we play to 7 rounds instead of 5; OR play a second round if one team loses 5-2 or worse. Your call, of course.
Need more maps people! Only taking 3 this week because I want to intersperse the lineup with some more refined maps the lobby and viewers will enjoy as well, considering how poor the reception amongst players was last week.
I'll shoehorn Amphitheatre into here. I just want Strongholds and Slayer to work on this map with good lighting and good* spawns. *not crappola
Each week I'm going to look through maps that have been recently posted to ForgeHub and select a handful that I think could have potential. Running through the 4v4 maps posted in the past week, here's what I've looked at so far. Links and reasons I've decided to exclude them below. Rift - Flat, clausterphobic Cirrus - Bland, too small, oddly scaled Data Pit - Remake, framerate, questionable scaling in areas Widow's Court - Flat. Doesn't port to Halo well. Crossfire - Two-dimensional. Both levels are flat. Dance floor scaling is too large. Pantheon - Flat. Doesn't port to Halo well. Sanctuary - Unremarkable remake, bad framerate in bases. Maps that I looked at and approve of for this week's lobby: C9-Renovate - Brotastic Bear Tesseract - The Silence Broken
I'll submit Wet Dream. Pay no attention to the visuals, because they're going to be completely reworked. Any feedback related to gameplay is welcome. This version should be playable.
