Hey, so you know, what was the first map you made in Halo 5 that you actually dedicated decent time to? Since it's been nearly a year and a half since forge release. Did you finish it? If yes, what would you change about it? If no, why? TELL ME. This is my first one. It turned out to have a lot of framerate issues. Never really got around to decent playtests with it so it never really went anywhere. Please tell me stories. With pictures.

All of my past maps were pretty cool in one way or another. I still really enjoy still looking at some of them, but I didn't have the knowledge or experience to make them work at the times they were made. The first time I really struck the balance was with Cobalt. The map is pretty simple, but the intricacies of the pathing made the map play pretty well even within the context of Halo 5. That was a feat for me, and It's probably my first "Baby" of this forge. EDIT: Oh **** I forgot about this. I change my answer.
This is the first map I finished, which was for the Hub of the Dead Infection contest, if you don't count all of the "Out of Map" canvases I made. The only thing about it is that it's too big for standard infection. I'm still proud of how it turned out though. https://www.forgehub.com/maps/insula-damnatorum.3479/
Probably my Star Destroyer, which I did finish. About the only thing I'd do differently is maybe add an interior (bridge, mostly), but if I was going to do that, I'd want it to be quite a bit bigger, so that the bridge wouldn't take up the entire command module (I did that with my Reach Star Destroyer, and it looked kinda hokey). Unfortunately, I'd need a canvas at least 5x bigger, and a budget increase just as large, to really do it properly. I could also go back and ramp up the exterior detail to take advantage of the increased budget, but then I'd have to contend with the dissappearing object glitch.
Hot Trash and nothing because I want it to retain it's 90's porn theme. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 27, 2017 --- Th That doesn't look like Goldleaf.
https://www.forgehub.com/maps/greengrif-stadium.1531/ Started this the first day of forge, just to get used to it. A grifballcourt with flames, fences, a scorebord and yard numbers on the floor like the NFL. Controls were so weird and difficult and I was pretty happy with the result. Updates and cubemap changes kinda ****ed the lighting I think. I should return someday and take look really.
Has to be my old Ascension remake. It was the first thing I wanted to do in Halo 5 and it really taught me how to forge. I love the way it turned out. I wish I still had as much time to forge these days.
