Making a map on Foundy that's dedicated to the Madgod, Sheogorath. The map is supposed to be a chaotic landscape, so I figure vehicles would be add to the chaos, but I also want them purpose. I've already got about a third of the landscape done, mainly two base like structures, one looks orderly but isn't as much as it seems, and the other looks like it was shaken apart.

Use whatever you can for inspiration. Just make sure the map plays well and is fun. Those two things are second to none.

Also, people probably won't really care where you got the inspiration from. You should add it as a footnote at the end of your map description. I don't want to read a page of text about Oblivion and then find out that the map is not something I want to download.

So have everything nice and orderly on one side and everything else kind of twisted and weird on the other and you have to try and blow each other up? I think it could work as long as you have both sides equally balanced.

You really like oblivion i have a few ideas. what if you created never ending expolisves all over the place a lot of man cannons and random guns. it would be so chaotic thats probaly how sheogarath would want it.

No that would be stupid because the explosions woulod kill everyone, random mancannons would send you flying into walls and weapons everywere is a sure fire way to get everyone to hate your map.

your probaly right but i meant you get random weapons at the start but the explosives wouldn't be such a good idea.

Sometimes random weapons can be good or bad, mostly bad, due to the fact that atleast 5 people will probably spawn with rocket launchers.

Swords are a must-have on a map like this. The damage should be tuned down to make it more 'Oblivion'.

Well, foundry is kinda hard to make too chaotic because of its size, which will be further limited if what you say is true where you already have two base-like structures. My advice would be to throw in a few vehicles, but not so many that it becomes like bumper-cars at an amusement park.

If you REALLY want to make it chaotic, try a few mortars (a grav lift sitting in a weapon holder floating in midair, with fusion coils spawning above it). That usually does the trick.
