Alright, so back during the summer, I went on a travel trip to baseball stadiums across the east coast of the US. Anyway, while back in NY for a couple of days, and being such big Yankee fan, I took this picture of Yankee Stadium from right behind home plate, my final time at the stadium before it was torn down. For art class last month, the assignment was to follow a style of art and paint something using that style. I picked impressionism, which for those that don't know, is basically where you can see the brush strokes, to say the most basic definition lol... anyway, here is my final product. I am happy with it for the most part. The biggest problems were that I messed up a little bit in a few places, dripped some paint on some areas and used too big a brush at some points, so it came out a little bit sloppy at areas I tried to be neater in. The biggest mess up was the part of the New Yankee Stadium in the top right corner... that smudged badly and I couldnt fix it well... however, I still like the final outcome. Also, please don't grade this by your personal preference on the Yankees... I don't care if you are red sox fans or w/e, base your comments on the painting, not the team please lol...
I hope you got a good grade on this piggles. I got a few pictures from the old busch stadium before it got tore down and I love looking back at them. I like the picture man, the right side seem a little bigger then the left but it looks nice. Its something for you to be proud of.
Thanks lol... was hard to do. I feel like I should have done a different style lol, because of how this was more difficult... on the upside, I got a 97 on it.
