This simple simi expnesive device helps.

    http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/XB360-XSATA__EF000192.aspx

Also you can always download Xplorer360, then remove your hard drive from the 360 casing, voiding its warranty, and then hooking it up to an extra pair of sata cables in your computer, or buying an external hardrive case, and use that to connect it to your computer via usb, and using xplorer360

    xsata device uses xplorer360

For more information on what i said above read this tutorial from halogrid.

Alright I will check this stuff out when I get home, my school blocks the websites you have linked.

Well actually I can access the second link. Seems complicated and I have never done any modding before. Would I still be able to use my computer, or would it just turn my computer into an Xbox?

my pc has input on the front panel (red white and yellow) and I plug in my xbox. Couldn't figure out how to run it though, ended up using VLC media player. The quality was crap and the response time was like 3 seconds.

I now use a VGA cable! Its much easier to set up. Cable costs like 10$US and it goes from back of xbox to computer screen/any VGA input. Its really good quality, high definition. Although you need speakers that take the red and white bits. Or you can just buy a converter cable for like 5$US
    I use a 22" CRT monitor which I got 2nd hand for like 20$US

35$ for high defenition setup? Sweet deal!

oh you see my method is for accessing your xbox files, creating backups, and modding halo 2. However you can hook a monitor to your xbox and use it as a tv, or you can get a capture card to record gameplay.

I think someone put their Xbox 360 in a more ventilated PC tower case so he could make it cool better. But that's about it. For me, my laptop is right next to my 360, and their both hooked up by the Xsata. Not much point though, unless you mod Halo 2. Or Halo 3. And I do neither.

Also, Penguin, by using the Xsata, you don't void warranty. You can remove the HDD at any time. And while it's pretty hard, you can remove the Xsata.

What I am trying to do though, is have my computer on, two screens. If I want to play Halo I just switch one of those screens into a monitor in which I can get on my Xbox. Nothing special, I am just lazy and don't feel like going outside of my room into my game room.

Why would removing the hard rive void it's warrenty?
    Why make it removable then?

Wow, I feel so loved lol.

I was just wondering cause I take my hard drive out to take it in to my mates at the game store to show them stuff heaps.

Also wouldn't mind an easy cheap way to get the vids off of there and onto here and off of here and onto there (like my fan sub anime since my Xbox hard drive is bigger than my computers....)

    Nope, not without buying anything.

    No, your missing the point.

Belive it or not the hardrive has its own warrenty, and when you take it off the 360, unscrew the hardrive casing, and remove the acutal hardrive from its plasic 360 shell, it voids the warrenty.

Did you not see my seond link?

AT Nemi, Read what i said above, and yea i know.

I was thinking how that doesnt have a warranty, but that would for sure ruin any warranty...

So, if I wanted to edit videos that I've saved on my portable hard drive, I would have to buy something to get them to my computer? I was wondering if there was a program or something that I could get because I would like to edit videos and such.

No none device can do conversions. Though they need to. They only way to do that is a capture card, which is sad since Xboxs can connect to the Computer.

no, its not sad, its perfectly logical!

Instead of halo 3 saving films in acutal video files, they Geniously made it where what you do in the game is interpted by code, and when played in theatre, the game eningie reads the code as exact gameplay as it happend.

so instead of a 400MB file for a single game, its 4MB for the code, to be replayed.

Buying an $80 caputer card is the least you could do, if you want film clips that badly on your computer. Bungies already did the hard work for you, now you dont have to record 20mins of game footage like in halo 2, but instead go back, and record what you need in theatre.

Well the decrease in memory is good, but I'd prefer if you could choose where to save stuff.

though the answer has probably been stated allready... what is the simplest device or cord or cable and related cards, programs, and etc i can buy, so i can simply move the vidoes onto my computer to be stored until i want to move them back. thats it.

this is kindof off topic but since the question has been answered,
I really wish that all games could allow cross plaform users to play with each other, like in shadow run, it would really be great and i'm nto fully sure but I dont think that would create lag
