Not that we expect anything else but this issue I've never heard/seen of. When I go to turn off my Xbox, the power light goes off but it shows a controller is still connected (and the controller port light is on as well), the dashboard is still displayed on my TV (and animates) and the fan is running as though it's on. When I unplug my controller, the light on it goes out but the Xbox shows it is connected. If I try to turn it back on via the controller, the power light on the Xbox comes on but the controller doesn't connect. And to head them off at the pass, no, the Background Downloader isn't on, no, I am not using a play and charge kit and, no, it isn't over heated (everything is cool to the touch). I usually just unplug the Xbox from the wall to fix it and I'm not overly concerned about it but was just wondering if anyone else has had or has heard of this issue and/or what to do to fix it. (I hope the new, sleeker Xbox fixes all of this issues. Wishful thinking, I know.)
I experience this every now and again. All I do is unplug it at the wall and turn it back on. But are you experiencing this all of the time?
Ive had the same problem too. Ive even tried unplugging it and reconnecting but sometimes itll happen straight after. Try unplugging and leaving it unplugged for a while.
If your power is plugged into an adapter, plug it straight into the wall, that is what is recommended by Microsoft.
It's happened to me a few times. I don't know how to get it to stop either, but it's not a big concern.
Well, after some more issues, I've discovered that it only happens when I'm playing around in Netflix. Can't find anything about it but since it isn't having adverse side effects, I'm not gonna worry about it. Just gonna have to live with it. Thanks for the bits of info guys.
I don't know if this helps at all, but when I turn my xbox off when My controller is charging with a cord from the xbox then the xbox still runs after its off until the controller is charged up. When I unplug the cord before I turn off the xbox then it doesn't happen... I'm not fully understanding what is happening with your xbox, but maybe it is somewhat similar?
Yeah, I don't use a play and charge kit at all. It isn't that but I can't speak to how similar that issue is to mine. I guess it's just something to be lived with. Can't find anything with a solution.
