Worthy is a four-tiered, four-room, asymmetrical map. This is the 7x7 contest submission version. Competitive version coming soon... Blue Room: Red Room: Green Room: Gold Room (Rocket Room):
Ha, best comment ever. Anyways, I like the overall layout and the height variations. But I'm not a huge fan of the overall aesthetics, more color can be helpful for distinguishing the sides. Dl+1
I like the look of this map (especially green room) for some reason. It has a nice vertical element about it. Is it done done? Have you played it much? How's it play?
I can see oddball actually being fun on this. cool map, the only thing that bothered me is the merging of pieces. like where half of a brace large is sticking out of half of a 2x4. what are the weapons? besides the rocks. didnt see any really.
You do realize this was for the 7x7 contest. He has an updated version which is much better. The map plays great, really fast-paced and just overall a lot of fun. Sorry I don't have much to say. I usually don't comment on maps. I'll come up with something when you post the new version.
Simple to forge, yet unique in design. We need more maps like this. Ones that are as vertical as they are linear, and ones that can support more power weapons successfully. This map plays some quality 2v2's and 3's, though the spawning isn't the best. I personally think it's the 4 corner-room layout, but the real 2v2 version does the bad spawning justice.
So I got a quick glance at the thumbnail and thought it looked fairly neat, and then I saw it was posted by you and went "oh...". Nah, but this really is neat. simplistic and fun. Good stuff, Max.
This is one of the best maps I've seen in a looooooooong time. I'm over joyed that some forgers still put gameplay over prettyness,. Wicked map dude. Mind listing the weapons?
Appreciate that. Weapons: Red Room: Sniper Rifle, Blue Room: Grenade Launcher, Green Room: Plasma Pistol, Gold Room: Rockets, Middle Platform: Custom. @anyone concerned with the look of the map: This version is for a contest. A better looking one is almost ready for release.
I don't know what looks better, this or your previous releases. Guess this contest was kinda easy when you don't use many pieces outside of these. Haha. Jokes aside, I'm sure it plays well. Ain't set foot on anything of yours since Anex, which I enjoyed if I recall correctly... I think we'll have to game on this sometime... After I get burnt out on Nexuiz that is.
