Can somebody give me a step-by-step directions on how to make a elevator in forge. and make it go up and if possible down? This would help me so much seeing as i have a map that i need to finish and i need an elevator in it to help it. THANKS
check out my map hectic arena http://www.forgehub.com/forum/competitive-maps/17379-hectic-arena-_.html , it should give you the going down part, as well as the up....simply surround crate with 3 sides, grav lift underneath, and a custom powerup on top.....and to stop the elevator close to the end of the reach of the grav lift, put a reciever node (you go through, crate stops) PS give my map a DL its not getting very much love trust me its a lot of fun!
Place two double walls so that they are close together, parallel, and standing vertically. You may want to place these so that they are against a wall or other surface; there should be enough space for a mongoose to fit between the walls. On the outside edge of each double wall, place a man cannon, facing inward, as close as possible to the walls. Next, place a regenerator in the space between the walls. You now have a very simple elevator. To use it, simply pick up and activate the regenerator, and you should be thrust into the air. Now add your finishing touches, and you're done. Hope this helps. (Note: For some reason, this system will only work with a regenerator, so be sure to use that piece of equipment).
No, sdrakulich, your elevator is terrible, I am sorry but CP friction elevators are horrible, The box has to respawn to reset, that is a 30 second wait! Versions like THIS are much better. I think there are enough pictures to explain it, also if you want to make a button on the bottom, just put in another CP holding back a mancannon, like this:
