Just a quick vid to show something I mocked up in about half an hour or so, just testing out some ideas for wobble bass -- or dubstep, depending on your preference of label -- in FLS. Pretty basic, but I just wanted to have a quick go to see what I could do. Got any questions or critiques, please feel free to share. :)

    Thanks, guys. Now enjoy!

Also, apologies for the non-embedded video, wouldn't work for some reason so you'll just have to make do with the link. :p

And for just a small amount of time this is pretty good haha, i tried doing dubstep on fruitly loops before and by the 3rd hour i gave up lmao

Did you have to download a VST or was this all instruments that came with the program?

Thanks for the embed, dude. Don't know what happened, but it just wouldn't work for me.

Anyway, everything I used was included standard with Fruity Loops. I used the 3xOsc for the bass, which is just three oscillators layered on top of each other and the plugin, which is another FLS standard, allows you to manipulate each one individually. And the drums and FX are also standard.

If you check the vid on Youtube there's a link to the vid in the description that I got the ideas from.

Not bad dude, for a beginner. The sounds turned out pretty wobbley, almost too wobbley. New dubstep sounds more streamlined, not so wonky. Try to make sounds with lots of bass, but also a ballsy sound, again, not so bubbly. All basslines for dubstep should have the harsh grime sound, but also a low sub bass score. Fruity loops has a lot to offer for a simple program. Look at all the **** I made with Fruity Loops. If you have any questions, just ask.

Well, there is a lower driving bass behind the wub, but its probably not as pronounced as it should be. If it were a serious attempt at a song I'd probably fiddle with it more by adding a bass boost and perhaps an overdrive effect, but as it's just a quick mess around to see what I could do I don't think I'll bother.

Also, I'll check your stuff out once I get home. On my phone at work right now and its not the best for bassy songs. ;)
