I recently purchased a black Xbox 360 controller, and the problem is, whenever I put my Nyko Play and Charge NiMH battery pack on the back of the controller, it wont sync with my Xbox 360 console. It does however work with the battery pack it came with, but that uses two disposable AA batteries, and you probably know by now how it sucks batteries dry. I've tried the sync method where you press the button on the console, then press (and hold) the button on the controller. I'm guessing there's another step for replacing the default controller, however other controllers (friends) normally sync fine. If anyone could help me with this problem, that would be great.
If you have a battery pack charger cord, try that. It might not work because its not a Microsoft brand. The easier way to sync things is with the plug and play cord.
That's weird. I have the same battery charge thing and it works. Maybe the controller isn't compatible? Is that possible?
Me too, except my controllers are white. Umm, I'd call 1-800-4-MYXBOX if you don't end up finding out what the problem is. And the robot guy's voice isn't that bad. He's cool. It just takes a while though to get wherever you want by pressing the numbers for options, but they have good customer service. They have to. I mean, with all the angry teens calling them because they just got the Red Ring.
Right, I had this problem. Switch your Nyko battery pack to a different controller if you have another wireless one and then take the pack from that controller into the black one. Show fix the problem. This method does require you to put another chargeable battery pack into you're black controller. BTW, although Nyko is an alternative to battery packs, it's not a good alternative. You should try to get the Microsoft licensed stuff if possible. Also, if it's because you're low on cash, go to Gamestop. They sell used stuff for knock-off brand prices, and it's tested and are like brand new. I get all of my stuff from Gamestop if I don't have the extra 5 or 10 bucks to spend.
