First of all, before I ask for anyone's help, I'll describe the premise and purpose of the map. I'm planning for it to be a linear infection map that draws inspiration from the "Dark Souls" series as well as the "Origins" zombie map from Black Ops 2, and wrapping it all up in a setting similar to that of where the covenant excavated the ark portal in Halo 3. The map is based on a human colony planet where artifacts were discovered while mining for resources and the artifacts become reactive during a storm. The church had been being protected by its deities (the zombies). The alpha zombies will spawn with Grinder variant Hammers, have a large health pool, and walk slower than humans. Humans will be equipped with Assault Rifles and be able to pick up a Voids Tear and a Delta Beam Rifle, both with low ammo capacities. Zombies will spawn inside a Church in the middle of the map that will contain a portal that will be activated at the beginning of the map. This portal will take the zombies to one of several exit portals depending on where the humans are within the map. Zombies will not be able to convert humans and (if possible) humans will have several lives and be able to respawn in the next area, provided the humans survive that area. The humans win by destroying all exit portals while progressing throughout the map and reaching the church to destroy the central portal and win. Now time for me to plead for help. I'm a tad in over my head. I'm more used to making generic slayer maps with some nice aesthetic details here and there, but rarely any scripting past object movement or spawning. I would like to ask the help of someone who has a little more knowledge of scripting than I do. I would also like to ask for the help of anyone who can create recognizable terrain. However, anyone willing to help is appreciated. I've sort of been on hiatus from forging but I could help you. I've worked on a few of linear infection maps before. Only problem is I'm kinda busy with finals week being this week (still in high school sadly ) so if you can't wait that long, I suggest looking at other people's linear infection maps and try dissecting it. Some people use different methods for linear infection though but neither one is wrong. Hope this helps
