Hey guys! Xdemption here with another solo forge creation for your eyes to feast on. diving into this design, I wanted to take hold on a bridgework design that delved away from traditional bridgework (aka Guardian, Lockout). The ideal was to create a map that did not directly have a top middle, where flow remains tight to the surrounding areas and allows people to cut through the middle quickly to the upper / lower positions. My other goal was to promote spherical flow in combination with power counters and stronghold set-ups. Each power position controls a singular power weapon, where setting up is based upon the weapons spawned on the map. Cloak is controlled by pride rock Rockets controlled by tower Sniper is controlled by the overlook area near red spawn Each area can also be countered by a low flank from any position of the map, bottom mid mainly becomes a transition to push. Hydra becomes a more centralized weapon which can counter all three positions but cannot drastically affect the gameplay. There are lines of sight directly behind each position which can directly affect the team's set up, where if a player slips through the cracks can effectively shift the momentum of a game. This is simply the ideal and can change to help create this ideal, any feedback on this is welcome. It is Proto 37 on my fileshare, name will be changed soon so keep that in mind. Really interesting to hear your thought process on a lot of the design ideas here, Demption. You've clearly thought out pretty much every inch of the map, now let's see how it actually pans out. Definitely down to do some testing with you on this.
