Welcome! I originally had this posted in the Maps section which was promptly deleted by admins. Well, I've learned my lesson and decided to post here! This is a 1:1 remake of Sword Base from Halo: Reach. The coordinate system from Reach's forge lines up exactly with Halo 5's so that's what I'm using to make this map. To encourage playtesting, the map is fully compatible with Assault, CTF, and even Multi-team Slayer. Get in there and playtest! Guess. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 7, 2016 --- My object count, full spawning and objectives included, is 752. Strange, because my other remake, Reckoning, had to be cleaned up a lot to stay below the limit.
If you cover up that reflection camera, your energy floors will look better. Love the progress you made so far!
There's a camera on every map, invisible, that generates the reflection seen in glass/energy surfaces. It's why even when you build an indoor map, your DMR scope or windows will show an outdoor scene. Same camera referred to for this trick... wish I knew the coordinates off the top of my head. Edit: Not every map, but most of the Forge canvases have one
Looks to me like the reflection camera for Parallax is very far outside the map. I'm talking hundreds of kilometers.
At about 1:15 in the video, @Psychoduck says it works on Parallax... maybe he can point you at some reachable coordinates?
This is a 264x264 block at the very top of the map. That was as close as i could get to the reflection camera.
