These variants can be found in my Game Variant Files. As a challenge to myself I set out to make an as close to 1 to 1 remake of the multiplayer map Complex from 007 Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64. During the blocking process I had an Nintendo 64 running with Complex loaded up so I could consistently reference it when building each room in Forge to ensure scale was as close as possible. Someone intimately familiar with the original map may notice slight differences, particularly with lighting choices, but nothing that would impact the core design and feel of the map. In order for this map to play as intended I created a line of game modes set up to mimic the TTK of Goldeneye as well as its movement. While playtesting with a few friends they seemed to like the addition of a small jump (70%) as it gave them more movement options around the map, but one friend protested saying that it ruined the intended routes. This resulted in Classic Agent FFA where jumping was removed (and motion sensor range increased) so if players want the true classic feel they can have it. One of my goals with releasing this publicly is that play testers help me refine the game modes into variants that play better while maintaining the Goldeneye feel. While blocking is mostly set in stone due to the map being a remake, there are still many areas I'd like feedback in order to make this map look and preform ideally. Spawns, weapon drops, lighting, and aesthetics are all things I'd like feedback on (especially suggestions for lighting/aesthetics). Weapon List All weapon spawns are set to On Disturbance. 1x Rocket Launcher, 0 spare clips, 60sec 1x Shotgun, 0 spare clips, 45sec 1x Assault Rifle, 2 spare clips, 45sec 2x SMGs, 1 spare clip, 20sec 2x Halo 2 Classic Battle Rifles, 0 spare clips, 20sec 4x Magnums, 2 spare clips, 20sec 6x Frag Grenades, 30sec The map's original false walls and vent covers were maintained using chromas so players can faithfully experience the original sneaky paths and line-of-sights. In the future I hope to make this map compatible with the upcoming ball-type game modes and Infection as I imagine both game modes would play pretty well on this map.
