Welcome to the Wild Wild West. You need the "Quick Draw" game-type to play. Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details This is a mini-game that is based on the old western tradition of a duel. 8 players are arranged in a circle without being able to fire. Once the hill moves, you can pick up your pistol. The last man standing claims a point! It's just that simple. Overview: You first are placed outside the hill. Unable to move. The 1st hill is above you. It will drop. Once it drops, you can pick up your pistol at you feet. Then, Let the Battle Begin. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Spencermx14 for the Scenery. Wow that's a pretty sweet concept you got going on here. Very creative. I love ideas like this, so simple but that's what makes it fun, why didn't I think of this? Good job man.
Dude, you've made yourself a bitchin' minigame, its especially cool that you chose the wild west theme. Nice job with the dropping hill as well, ossim, I'm downloading
Cool idea dude. I was thinking you could get even more creative with this. The start is perfect but why not a rectangle shape with teams across from one another and maybe a bit more use of the map. maybe if you can not sure have a big hill at first fall the size of the map. Than have like 2 more fall gradually getting smaller forcing you in.(Not really sure if you can technically do that but it sounds interesting.) Wow this map and idea is awesome as is just throwin some v2 options hope they helped. Look forward to more.
Finally, this was fun as hell when I played it with 8 people. I found that it was more about luck than anything though. perhaps you could add more scenery to the center to make it feel more like the wild west.
yes but you most likely won't use them because the last man standing will claim the hill and end the round. On the rare occasion where everyone dies, the first person to respawn after 15 seconds will claim the hill. when you finally get the ability to move, you move at a snails pace. You won't make it to a building before someone kills you It's funny you should mention that. When i made this in Halo 3, it was two teams in straight lines facing each other. I decided to do something a bit different here. I may make another version for teams sometime down the line. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what i can do
what FXs did you use for this? because along with the orange light it really does look like dust... i want to make dust... because dust is fun... dont judge me... stop it!...
Did you smoke some weed? on topic. Wauw, really good. The game itself is really intresting but the scenery is a lit boring. maybe v2?
Great game! Played with 8 people and became very stimulating and competitive. But why only 8 people? It seems like it would be easy to add more spawn points for 16 people, but I could be wrong?
My failboat set sail... anyway.. this is a really great idea and I can see it getting some good attention and being a whole lotta fun. Way to think outside the hill
I was messing around and played this with one person, but even then I can see that this would be a lot of fun with some more players. Really great idea with the hill settings. This is a keeper.
Thanks for all the great comments guys. And i'll try to see what i can do about making it fit more people.
So simple...yet so brilliant! This gametype is really fun. I love how the spawns are all ten paces away from eachother (not sure if that was intentional but props anyway). The reaction time-quickdraw element to it, and how short each game was had my friends and i playing it over and over again. However, the forging around it could do with a lot of improvement. It looks like you threw some random buildings together with little or no thought on how it would look, which is really a shame because this map has so much potential. If took some time and went all out, you could make some really cool aesthetic saloons, blacksmiths, stables. Also maybe think about making a gang shootout variant (team deathmatch) with maybe 4 on 4. I agree with some other people that perhaps a V2 is in order .
Red Dead Redemption! Please tell me you played that game, cause this is exactly how the multiplayer games start. That was my favorite thing about the multiplayer in that game, and i am happy to see it in halo, definitely downloading
^ red dead multiplayer was the best and i agree this is a lot like it i tried it out with some friends and enjoyed it 4 of them have red dead and they also thought it was like it maby you should add some better looking buildings on the sides and maby a box in the middle like on armidilo inn red dead
