Hey guys, working on a friends map, and I think it's corrupted or something. The teams will spawn in on neutral initial spawns instead of in their own bases. The spawn zones are set up correctly, each base is hidden from each other, so not a line of sight issue, and each base has 8 initial spawns and I'll still spawn on a neutral instead even when I load into a custom by myself. The spawn zones are labeled as well. Anybody have any ideas on what the heck is going on here? I've never seen this happen...
Check the spawn order. Set the blues and reds to 0. The game chooses the lowest number first I believe. So if your neutrals have a lower number you spawn there first. I could be wrong but that's the only thing that I can think of.
Yeah, make sure they are all set to 0 except for the neutral spawns, you are unlikely to spawn at the spawns with the order of one, until players are sightline blocking spawns at the respective bases.
isn't three also a label for FFA? If you NEVER want someone to use a neutral initial unless no teams, label it tha tway.
Great suggestions, guys! Thanks so much for trying to help. I'll check 'em all out and report back in case anyone else runs into this. I'm still somewhat confused it's even happening at all because I've never seen it on countless maps.
I just looked into this, and problem with it is the only option is FFA Slayer. We'll also be using the map for FFA Oddball, and mini-games. IT WORKED, GUYS!! THANKS!!! I've been wracking my brains trying to fix this, so, much appreciated. This map is hella fun multi-team. It was created by a forge buddy Bludgeondary, and I "reskinned" it, adding Covenant and Sangheli elements. A lot of work, so the fact that it wasn't working was REALLY disheartening. Will be posting the map up once it's squeaky clean. But it will be visible in my fs if anyone is bored and/or interested. It's called Aye Bee Ex Why Sang Alt (for now, lol) Also, we've been noticing in the last few weeks that someone will often spawn in the wrong base at game/round start, and I'm thinking that somewhere along the lines an update sort of put neutral spawns closer to the same weight as team spawns because this never used to happen.
