It might have fallen on hard times but the site still does draw ad revenue from having such a high SEO rank (search engine optimization)
Wow I had know idea that Kajin was selling Forgehub. If we can get someone cool to buy us, that'd actually be pretty great.
Why is it so odd to expect that when the site is changing ownership that the members of that site are informed? There are only like 3 people still visiting this site, at least give them a heads up.
The Monster Truck Mania announcer voice echoed through my head throughout the length of Tusk's GIF, lol
Its not confirmed sold yet. Xx Overkill VR said he has settled on a price. Anyway, I wonder how good this Overkill guy will do. Undoubtedly better than the previous owners, but how much better?
One thing I can promise you about Overkill if he ends up as the owner... He will be very active/involved. He's an intelligent guy with a strong vision, and the drive to see it through. Whether or not he has the technical know how to make the necessary changes to the site, or knows someone who does, I don't really know. My guess would be that he does. Also, he's had connections with Bungie in the past, assisting with the development of the Classic playlist in Reach, and I believe working somewhat closely with the community cartographers. In Halo 4 he's put forth enormous efforts and made a lot of sacrifices personally in an attempt to improve the quality of the game, being an enormous advocate for no sprint gametypes in particular. Most importantly, he has a real passion for halo, and cares about the Halo community. I sound like his agent or something, lol. Anyway, I'd be very happy to have him running this site.
I came in here thinking I would let everyone know that there couldn't be a better candidate than Overkill to purchase this site with his eagerness and motivation. But I really couldn't have said it better than Chunk. I'm very excited to see how things turn around. I've got nothing but the highest hopes.
Thanks for the kind words guys. The transaction will be completed tonight. Once the domain transfer is complete then I will make a formal announcement on the front page. In the mean time, lets hear what you guys want to see done with the site. Anything and everything is on the table. Consider that this is a complete restoration job so we may have to start from scratch if no other solutions can be found. I have been working something out with a few people and things are looking good but I want to hear what the community has to say.
Partnerships an affiliations. IMO, that's the primary thing we need to work on after getting this choppy ass forum up to date. I'll post all my opinions after work today.
