You heard me right! WLIIA is returning this summer on CW. This show was one of the funniest programs on TV and if you've got any sense of humor then you would enjoy it. It appears that Drew Carey is no longer the host though, and Aisha Tyler is going to replace him. which might not be too bad... Anyways, the article claims that Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and Wayne Brady are all returning for the show and each week they will have a guest on the show. Yus! One of my favorite shows of all time. Hopefully it's not like all of the other improv spinoffs they've been making recently.
While I didn't care much for their green screen show, I was a fan of Improv-a-Ganza. Still, this is amazing news seeing as this show is easily one of my favourites of all time. Although, I would've liked to see Drew return as the host even though he wasn't funny. I just hope he's never on the show as a contestant. Hopefully they'll be using the same people like Greg, Brad, Chip and Jeff for the guest spots. I also hope they have Heather Anne Campbell on some episodes too. She was great on Improv-a-Ganza
I thought Drew Carrey was pretty funny. He had a good sense of humor imo. The rest of the three defined the show, so I can't say Drew played a huge part in it all (except for when the three made fun of him, that was hilarious). They seem pretty old now, I'm skeptical about how this will turn out.. I think I'd be more satisfied if they did a new variation of the old show, not just the same thing.. which I hope is what they're doing
Drew carry was hilarious for a host he didn't have to do anything aside from parts he was involved, But he helped make the show what it was by supporting the other guys. Never heard of aisha tyler looked her up I loved archer, and I was worried she was gonna be a "Not proactive, Her go to jokes are about sex even if unrelated to topic" Which i really dislike that type comedian because makes me think the only jokes she uses in her personal life are with guys shes hooking up with so they have to laugh and will laugh more when referencing sex because he wants to get laid and she takes from that experience that referencing sex is funny and builds her comedic career from it type of comedian, Her content is very sexual from what I saw I just hope she knows more then just relationships/sex/marriage jokes. If she does have a larger repertoire could be a awesome host, I can't wait to see how it turns out though because Drew was a fat guy leader role which introduced a nice dynamic(Because you can easily make fun of him for laughs without anyone taking offense and Ryan Wayne and Colin could flirt with drew to get laughs and things like that), But if you make fun of aisha audiance will be like "awwww poor aisha" if they flirt with aisha it's just flirting lol, Which means won't have the same situations but I'm curious what situations this new dynamic will create. (Hopefully good ones opening up more funny situations) Loved WLIIA so hope the sequel does it Justice.
