I live in Louisville, Ky, and am in my 30s. I've got a wife and 2-1/2 year old daughter. I play Halo3 every night, but invariably end up Forging instead of going online. I usually play Forged maps with a group of four or less (including myself). I have about seven completed boards in Foundry, and about seven others scattered amongst the other levels. My design goal is to make non-interlocked levels that still play great and look nice. Interlocking, to me, is just too much of a hassle, and I think that when done right, non-interlocked levels can be just as seemelss as any. My biggest trouble with Forging is determining how many and where to locate weapons in my levels. I love this site and read it daily. I hope to post some levels of my own soon, but in the meantime I'm having a blast playing on the levels I've downloaded here. My current favorites are Unchained and 7th Avenue. I've died many times on them.
LOL... welcome to the site and glad to see that the older crowd enjoy the Forge as much as the younger crowd. I agree with you Interlocking is a hassle... but a needed necessity once you start using it. After The Estate, I learned interlocking. So The Estate is proof that interlocking is NOT needed to make a map look beautiful. Welcome to the site, and enjoy the environment before it gets over runned with too many BNet users. lolz
