its not just the elite its the new xboxes with the advanced heat sinks, and that crap, oh and its the red ring of death lol
I never got one yet, and I had it about 1 year. Maybe I just don't play that much. Though I really want to play right now, but I'm grounded for a week...
The new Elites have a better motherboard. Anyway, the only reason I got an elite was because my old Xbox 360 got the RROD and I didn't feel like sending it in. Spent alot more than I should've, but oh well.
I have it currently for 2+ weeks and I'm still ****ing waiting for the box, I called weeks ago and again today to the same guy thats probably in India. Right when i get my golden uzi on COD4 too!
Nah I think it was because I was retarded enough to play my 360 during a raging thunderstorm until the power went out. Just had to complete that vCTF match on unreal. But I like your theory though because the uzi sucks should have made golden P90 or MP5
O rly? Whenever I die by someone spraying an uzi, I have the urge to put my 360 in my microwave. Thus causing RROD.
Well that was probably just a power failure. When you get the RROD, It's only a power failure unless the Power indicator in the center of the rings is green.
I had my first one for a year, then it broke, the f**king motherboard... I've got it traded in though.
I haven't had it yet, god forbid, but I've "came close". You see, I don't have an extra composite cable for my capture card, so whenever I want to record/stop recording, I have to move the TV stand out, etc. Sometimes my Xbox would turn off when I was doing this, so I thought that it could kill it if you changed the audio/video cables while it was on. Then, one day, I did it, and I put the stand back against the wall and it wouldn't turn on. I tried. Again and again. So, I called Xbox support. I was on the phone with them for about 3 hours (total, the first couple times I mentioned my problem, then they mumbled "RROD" and hung up on me). They had given me the address to send it to, I'd given them all my info, and they were telling me how to pack it up. Then...I figured out that every time I moved the TV, the power cable got unplugged from the adapter. Dang. You can't even believe how much the customer support representative laughed at me.
