Ok, I'm working on a ToP map on Foundry and I was blocking off this entrance to the inside with walls. Anyways, I was doing the save-and-quit technique to float one of those big blue sheilds, and when I was saving, two of my friends joined my game, I ended the game. I started it back up and went over to where I floated the sheild, and one of the walls was white, completely white with a blue tint. We stuck an energy sword next to it and the wall's color matched the Energy Swords color. and it did! (We had trouble deleting it because we couldn't find where we put it) We ended the game and restarted it to see if the wall would stay white, but it didnt, it just went back to its normal color. Heres a screenshot. I took a film clip of it and it's in my file share, feel free to download it! You get a better view of it, I even compare it to the other side. http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=insanedrone822
Yeah that's definately just a lighting glitch. It seems as if Lighting glitches run rampant in Halo 3 MP.
Or like in standoff the double boxes do it... thats kinda stupid how they were too lazy to put a gradual lighting effect on it. lazy bungie.
I just noticed your meaning of BTSP in your sig, and I think that it fits well with the thread title .... :
There've been lighting glitches like this for ever, dating back to the launch maps of Halo 2 (color changing boxes on Colossus, for example).
That happened to me with a door on foundry. Couldn't recreate it tho.. it happens all of the time on this map I'm working on.
i havent had something stay a single color. one of my maps blinks like a disco ball though. the whole map.
Just calm down lol... This is actually pretty common. However, when it happens to me the thing usually turns black. Maybe you should make a whole map where all of the walls are white! :squirrel_rocking:
