i personaly think it should be on character growth how that works is you change the respawn settings to give them abilities for the first 2 minutes, and u make them spawn on a custom powerup thats set for 1 minute so if want them to have a deteriating radar heres what you do set normal settings to 25m set them to respawn with a 75m radar for 2 min and make them spawn on a custom powerup thats set to a 150m radar for 1 min so theyll spawn and theyll have 150m, after a minute theyll get reduced to a 75m and then after anothermin itll be 25m this can work for MANY MANY things like increase/decrease power, shields, speed, gravity, damage resistance, etc. also this can be timed with map events for a fun time, in example if u make a werewolf map were the wolves get stronger as it gets darker just set a screen effect to time with the growth
Hmm, u should so make that map and PM me when u do! I think it should be about how to effectively use scenery as so many maps nowadays r just plain dull and need some aesthetic features.
Wow, i've never actually seen anything like that, but it's a grat idea. Good job. I think that this should be a forging 101 guide.
Hmm, I like it, but that would mean you could only have four respawn points since there are only four custom powerups. You could definitely make it work. I made a mini game map that only has four respawn areas, I could definitely apply this to that map. Also, "character aging" was a bit misleading; perhaps "character traits and respawn traits" or something like that. 'Cause I was like, "Woah, you can make your character look old or get fat or have gray hair? Sweet..." But then I was like, "oh" after I read the full post. lol --dc
lol sorry for the missleading topic, and would realy like it if it made it in forging 101, but i dont know if i have to have any special permision to do so. and i think the perfect map this could be aplied to is that minotaur map that has exactly four minotaurs
video? i say merging objects with map geometry, im having a lot of trouble with it, as the tutorial is complicated ( for me anyway ) but thats just my oppinion, i think it would be good for something new
Destructible wall making technique. I get really fed up with those box walls where people say "oohh look its destructible because you can knock one box out of its place." I know Im not the only one here who probably does this but |Ive been making destructible walls out of those concrete barriers mainly because it gives an amazing effect when you blow them up.
