Yeah I thought about that, and unlimited jetpack wouldn't be an option. I'll also make sure the jump area has one way shield doors so you can't get back in.
even with that people would still just chill on the platform and wait for everyone to leave, than go. so it would just be the last guy on there.
Just make it a soft kill zone. You spawn with a timer already going. You HAVE to get off the platform. In fact there are so many ways to take care of this in Reach i see no real problem. However until we know the spawn characteristics I wouldn't suggest spawning in mid air. What if you time it wrong and fall for the death zone as you spawn. An annoying thing to happen.
maybe make them go as fast as possible, when someone captures a territorie it cant be captured back. that way using your jetpack to steer is going to be minimal.
One word for everyone: Gephyrophobia This is the map I am remaking in Halo: Reach. I know every aspect of this map, from the spawns to the hills to the race checkpoints. In fact, this map has already been made on Halo 3. Look no further than Narrows. Yes, Narrows was the little son to the granddaddy Gephyrophobia. The map's name literally means "fear of bridges". My version shall be Gephyromania, kind of like an abnormal obsession with bridges. Think it'll fit? Anyways, keep a look out on my signature later this fall, if you see Gephyromania planned, built, and finished, then I recommend you download for some classic big bridge action. Oh, and one other thing: Death Island Over 50% of you people know this map, right? I'm remaking the big island on the little island in Forge World. This time, it will be a bit smaller, yet still contain all the fun. Watch my signature for Mykonos planned, built, and finished to download later in the fall for some little big island mayhem.
For the Kill Zone, can you make it so it spawns at a certain time? I have an escape or die type of map but it requires a kill zone. Also, can you adjust the time it takes to kill you?
Silent one... Remake that map please!!!!! i still play halo ce on my computer all the time and we always play ctf on that map. <333333333333333333333
I was just thinking and I don't know anyway possible of making this work. I can see a way of making it work but there is no way to tell unless reach is out. It would be really cool to make some type of zombie game and yes you have your usually building set up were the humans are defending it. The thing is for it to be like real like you just can't sit there all day and shoot at zombies. So my idea is somehow make it so that eventually the humans are going to need to leave there security and scavenge for something to keep them alive. Now I am sure there is going to be a lot more things I can do but like I said for now all I know is ammo. So for now there is going to be one building or sometime of fort out in the middle of nowhere and like left4dead your going to eventually have to leave and go through a creepy forest/ect to win or to survive. Pretty plain but I honestly havnt seen anything work out like that in a halo infection and can see how I can make it work.
That might work...Invasion? If not you can try making a vip type gametype (if its in there) and the captures are in order of the map.
Well it could work out as KOTH and you would be jumping around the map but I still would like to keep it infection based so they have the option to stay and defend but there not going to do as good and everything is going to start getting harder if you stay. One idea (Based off of halo) is you would have to run to the other side of the map and get a grav lift which would allow you to open up some room that had ammo in it. But in reach there is just no telling what else I can do.
Well, maybe instead of a gravity lift, since there are non in Reach that we know about, you could place Jetpack armor abilities. The humans could spawn with sprint, that way each one would have to run over and pick up the Jetpack armor ability. Then you could place a room that you need a Jetpack to get to.
In reach you also have limited health, so if you have a small amount of health packs in the original building, but more health packs outside on the route you want the players to take to reach their items or objectives.
Im gonna make a tall map called skyscraper, with windows and offices. It'l have 4 stories, with a teleporter "lift" that takes you to the top floor. Perfect for Swords and Swat.
Or you can just use the staircase? Theres an item called stairs i spotted it in the newest bungie weekly.
I'm sure this won't happen, but I'd like to see an official remake of sandbox. Instead of having a kill barrier under the skybubble, you would just fall and die from fall damage
We only used sandbox for forge... and now we have forge world. Thats like remaking foundry on sandbox
I plan on making a game and map based off of closing an oblivion gate from the game Elder scrolls IV: Oblivion. One player would spawn at the "oblivion gate" and make their way to the "sigil keep" to remove the sigil stone and close the gate. Not sure how the gametype would work yet though. If anyone has any suggestions PM me.
I was playing through Halo 2 Legendary about a week and a half ago, and when I was playing Quarantine Zone, I was on what's called the Key [at least in the gamefiles ]. As I ran around, I thought it could turn into a pretty fun multiplayer map. I like the diverse lines of sites it has. I never tinkered around in H3 forge, so this will be my first project. Here are some renders from 3ds max (yes, I know it's very rough, but it's good enough ). I'll try to figure out Sketchup eventually. (if the images are too big / numerous, I'll just hotlink) What's funny is that while creating renders for my map, I saw on the b.net forums that somebody else has the exact same idea as me! And here I thought I was special But it seems we both thought of it at around the same time, so oh well.
