For quite some while now I have been thinking about hosting a competitive contest that does not relate to forging. I would like to try hosting a contest based around the gametype conquest but i have seen many many contests like this fail because they were not ran by staff members. I am just making this thread because i want to know how the community would react to something like this. Would it remain unnoticed, or would it flourish? Please answer honestly! ~forgegod117~
Like a 4v4 tournament for conquest? I don't know how it would do, but if the staff did think it would do well a journo might type up a front page for it. Kind of like the MLG map making tournament.
I think this would actually be pretty fun because conquest is a great gametype. It is nice to play many games in a row and with the forging contest creating many maps the variety could be amazing. The game itself does not take much skill or strategy but it would still be a nice casual event. Typically people ignore these types of contests so it would be nice to attract the attention of the staff to make it more appealing. -Maybe you should have a special tournament when the winners of the conquest forgeoff are announced. The only prize so far is a point towards premiuim and your contest could be extra incentive. Talk to Linubidix, I think he is in charge, and see if you can get something going... Good Luck
Isn't there ever going to be a time when nobody posts without reading the original post. And yes there is but this one just happens to be a non-forge contest. And how do you guys feel about this banner. Also I have talked with a jornolist and i have yet to see what other people think.
I'm in, and im sure other people will join in. But about the banner, wouldn't mark VI be better? Its just more recognizable.
Perect timing for one if you ask me. With the Forge off, you could talk to the judges of that and get the top maps from it to use in each tier of your contest.
You don't have to act like a douche. From your post, I read your post as if you were hosting a Conquest competition, so I figured it related to forging, not playing.
So what you should be saying is a tournament or a competition not a contest. But If that's what you are doing is a tournament then good luck.
