That has nothing to do with the theory of evolution you should know that. I think because you fear these rising theorys you try to fit it alongside what the bible says, but this is not neccecary.

The bible says animals will bring forth after their KIND. That is, interfertle species. There are such a thing as varieties within the differant kinds but no evidence to support a dog can create a non dog, we are all related to bannannas, and our great great great grandpa is a rock.

Notice any similarities? The story of the America is told in the symbolgy that is so evident around us, yet most ppl see no significance in it. Yet these symbols tell a larger story than 100,000 books ever could.

The reason I posted these pictures was more to see peoples reaction but they do give insight into why there is sociological evidence for Christ.

Can you guess the number one enemy of the ppl who created these symbols? If your willing to jump into the rabbit hole you will find the true evils/ THE most powerful/wealthy ppl do in fact beleive in a God. The people who allow those science books with athesitic viewpoints to even be read In school are not asthetists themselves. You must ask yourself why? Can anyone guess the prime enemy of these ppl? The answer is Jesus Christ.

To me, evolution is just as miraculous as God Snapping fingers. Its even more so to me. The bible is not a scientific manual and shouldnt be treated as one. That's my opinion and I'll hold to it. Your welcome to beleive what you will

Been down there. You've said a lot of things that I've avoided saying. I got out of that rabbit hole though, because I found it too easy to get lost in there and lose sight of the bigger picture.

The question I always come back to when I see these types of conversation is "why does it matter?" I don't have that thought because there's no benefit to be derived from it. I have that thought because I feel very strongly that lingering on subjects such as this can turn into a great distraction. What's important is not the details or the history or who's right or who's wrong.

What's important to me is how I act in each moment, and WHY I act the way I do. I always do my best to follow the golden rule. I don't do it because I believe I should, because I believe it's the 'right' thing to do, because it's what Jesus or Buddha, or God would want me to do. I do it simply because it feels natural to me. I do it because I feel most 'myself' when I am that way.

I find that people that act a particular way because they believe they're supposed to are quite easy to spot. To me, there is an enormous difference between the person that acts benevolently and the person who's benevolence is a natural expression of who they are. The energy of these people is very different. Authenticity is something I've always gravitated towards.

'Good' and 'Bad' don't differentiate the authentic person from the inauthentic person. They're usually used to differentiate between different types of actions. Actions don't tell the whole story. Intent/motivation is equally important. This is the main reason that I don't particularly care for those words.

The problem is aChunk most people don't know that rabbit hole even exists, and ignorance of it is not a good thing.

I whole heartedly agree that keeping the bigger picture in mind is important. We have yet to quantify what right and wrong, good and evil are but as concepts most humans agree they exist. Just like emotions I do not beleive we have the ability to understand these things in there true relationship to this universe but its exciting to try.

I like how you dont like the terms good and bad due to how the majority of ppl interprate those words meanings. Words aren't soild things. They are symbols that help us very rudimentarilly communicate with one another and even ourselves and as you but it intent/actions speak louder than words.
    Great post aChunk.

There is a fundemental differance between supernatural cause, and natural cause. One has to be wrong, doesn't matter if they both are far fetched they both adress the orgions. Mind made matter claims god created a FULLY DEVELOPED HUMAN from the dust of the earth. Matter created mind suggests councious mind came from a rocks that where rained on for billions of years. The evidence must lead to one side or the other.

The whole idea is to find out which is more probable based on the evidence.

Mind explain what the difference is to you? To me it isn't as clear cut.
I view many of evolutions concepts (the concept) not the theory. The truth is nobody knows for certain how we were created. I have faith however that we were created by God (A perfect infinite entity that always was is and will be) as spiritual free will beings. (A being able to exist in other quantnum states or dimensions that has the gift of free will).
However if the creation of us was quantifyed scientificly (even if beyond the understanding of humans) It would entail much more depth and illustration than what was written In Genesis. Which was translated out of its original written language In the first place. I think the message is still 100% there but you are putting to much into the literal description of the creation. Genesis is to let us know we were created In the image of God(have free will). I don't think it was intended to be a scientific manuaI of how. I assume nothing, just to me, if evolution is the method God used to create man than so what? I'm not denying the possibility of it not to be through evolution but to me its no less miraculous. To me, supernatural and natural its all one in the same.

How a tiny seed can grow into a 300 foot tree is just as awe inspring and "miraculous" than anything considered " super natural". Just because were unable to percive the spiritual relam well, that doesn't make it "super natural" its still connected to this universe and a part of its energy.

We are all made of the same energy but that energy's geometrical arrangement determines its form and roll in this universe.

It's not like there is gun being pointed at christians heads. In fact Christianity it the only religeon where your salvation isn't measured by your works but instead your scincearity. I struggle each day to deny myself my selfish carnal desires not out of fear but out of love and because i want to please my father in heavan.

This "rabit" whole is tied into christianity alone, anti-christ culture is all around us especialy here in the us. It all adds up. The big picture is what i've been driving this whole time; seek out the truth for yourself, the answers are out there. Because this life is finite, and if you do not care for your own salvation at the very least allow your loved ones a chance.

Please read all the material, no need to jump to conclusions when the eveidence points points to a creator as being more probable.

No man, you can spit all your personal mumbo jumbo beliefs all you want, but there's no denying that the concept of a christian god is flawed. Christian scholars understand that there are what seem to be contradictions in the explanation of god's absolute goodness, such as, for example, if god is a truly good god, why does he allow evil to exist? These contradictions and inconsistencies give rise to religious philosophers engaging in theodicies, which attempt to explain or justify those inconsistencies.

To take your christian teachings blindly at face value, as you do, is nothing more than foolish ignorance. It shows you do not fully grasp the teachings and are incapable of truly thinking and finding god or meaning on your own. As Existentialism puts it, "you are not authentic".

Again, the only true meaning in life is that which YOU define for YOURSELF. Authenticity is the defining of yourself on your own, free of the influences of others. It is the ultimate realization of truth and freedom, and consequentially, that your freedom is also your chain, as you are forever tied to the responsibility of your own decisions.

You want to be a Christian? Good on you. But don't follow blindly, rather, find your own truth and meaning in the teachings.

This has all been an interesting read.

There is a lot of speculation and separate beliefs that have been dotting the world ever since the world existed. Whether you believe the world was formed 4.5 billion years ago, or simply 6000 years ago, is up to what you choose to believe.

To no one's surprise, I am a Christian. A Seventh Day Adventist, meaning I go to church or "rest" on the seventh day, Saturday. I do my very best to be humble, even though the world is a terrible place. I do my best to follow the Ten Commandments, I try to learn something new from the Bible every weekend, etc.

I believe God created the world in six days, and rested on the seventh. I believe he gave his son as the ultimate sacrifice. I believe Jesus died for our sins.

And, according to the Bible, death is something like a deep sleep. You know nothing of what is happening in the world. When you wake up, you either are resurrected to be brought up to the clouds, or you are resurrected a thousand years later upon a desolate earth with the city of Heaven in the distance. Lucifer will give you and the billions surrounding a speech to have your group fight against the city in one final effort.

But as I said before, that is what I believe. You have the choice to continue your venture onto it, or you decide not to. People in many religions forget that they are suppose to give others a choice to learn about their belief. If they do not want to, then leave them be. Another person will eventually come to them, or perhaps they will have a video catch their eye. However it goes, do not forget that options should always be available.

Nah I'm good man. I've made up my mind a long time ago about these things.

i love this believe and have been tempted to take it up myself because of how it would allow me to rape, murder, steal, destroy and still be morally right because jesus took all the punishment for the "sins" i commit before i even did them. the sins have already been atoned for so as long as i believe in it no matter what evil things i commit i'm safe in the knowledge that god will reward me with heaven.

i think this might be the only reason to get me to convert... religion is proven to be the best tool to get good people to commit bad deeds in the believe they're doing good.

    Yes, most definitely.

The way I view it, we start out this life as perfectly innocent and free from the cares of the world (I don't want to get into a discussion on Original Sin, so I'll just state plainly that this is my opinion). We then plunge into the depths of knowledge, and the burdens that come along with it. While I don't think it's absolutely necessary or possible to delve deeply into all areas of knowledge, I do agree that ignorance needs to be eliminated to some extent.

It's only after this stage of knowledge/burden that it's possible to experience the state of awakening/enlightenment/Christ Conciousness/insert other term here. This is a return to a state of perfect innocence, and freedom from the cares of the world. On the surface, the prior and the latter are identical, but they are actually completely different in experience because in the latter experience there is an awareness of being free and innocent, while in the prior there is no such awareness. Without the middle experience, the latter experience can't happen.

I'm getting into things that I don't think OP intended when starting this thread, so I'll just step aside now and let everyone carry on, but thanks for the discussion.

There will be people who have done all of those things in their past that will be in Heaven. There are people in the Bible that were able to have a future after death because they saw what they did was wrong and they felt utterly terrible about it. But the thing is Haunted, those people did not continue their harmful lifestyle.

They made themselves grow into better people instead of constantly doing the sins. You can't be morally just if you know what you do is wrong and yet keep doing it. God wants your sins to be far and few in between, until you eventually don't do those sins at all. He will wash away your past, if you truly, truly know what you did was wrong and do your best to never do it again. But, you don't do it out of Fear. You do it out of Love for Him, and for your fellow Man.

The "God allows evil" argument doesn't work, and here's why.

God wants Love, and for us to truly love him we need the freedom to choose evil. He "allows" evil because forced goodness is not goodness at all. If you can't choose to do evil, you can't choose to do good.

As for the "he created all, therefore he created evil" argument, that's a different story.

Evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself. All of Gods creations were made in perfection, with perfect freedom. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.
