what I don't get, is why 343i didn't ask him directly (maybe they did) whether he has made any public comments about the company or its practices, and to qualify any of them during one of the interviews. Most companies do at least a little research about who they are hiring first. So, the ****ed up part is that they got so far into the process and backed out.
Still trying to figure out who GGFOXX is. Looks like he comes from Beyond based on his Reddit history but still don't know who he is.
I didn't think it was GGFoxx but a random lurking reddit account that the sole post was about Multi. This account was 3years old as well.
As I've said on Beyond, my regards are with Multi. **** that, didn't think my view of 343 could get any lower.
I will not be buying Halo 6 now. I have supported the Halo franchise since day one and I have bought every game. I will not be buying Halo 6. A future employee is critical of your past work, so instead of bring him in, have a discussion, attempt to work together to fix your **** game to its former glory, you kick him out the door. 343 can stoop no lower. They were a piece of **** company that has already sent one of the greatest franchise to the shitter. They also have such sensitive skin that they can't take criticsm. Multi, much respect to you for owning up to the way you criticized 343 in the past. Certainly, not all of your criticism has been constructive, but much of it has. It seems like you are taking the blame on yourself and have been humbled, which I very much respect. But man, this is 100% on 343 and then showing once again, that they are not worthy of my $60 for their next installment.
People who are passionate about something will have the most intense personal views / opinions. Could he have expressed his opinions better, possibly... However even Tom French has let us all down at this point because he should have had a candid in depth lengthy discusssion with Multi to see how he truly felt about the company, his future career and why he posted the things he thought. They want to roast me for an interview for the job of a lifetime? Sure go right ahead, just know I'm gonna be honest and vocal about how I feel because I love what I want to do and that would be game level design for Multi. This is the age of the internet and things are shared here just as if a public conversation had occurred, it wasn't a threat to their safety or success. Trump is an idiot and he can be president, Multi is passionate and experienced for the position so I'm sure he would have been a great choice to give a chance. BTW ---- In before we find out it was Goat who sabotaged Multi's career. I'm just joking, but deep down I hope it wasn't him... I hope Multi gets help from Reddit to find out more info on that account.
This is one of the few times Beyond and For Chub have come together and unanimously agreed on something. Good.
Sorry to hear this Multi, it sucks to be offered something only to find out you don't get it and to of spent all the money and time moving. Treyarch might take you back and if they don't then I'm sure you will get a job somewhere else, I would suggest though if you apply anywhere else to keep it hidden for a while so the company can get to know you first. It goes to show that in today's world you need to be mindful of what you put on the internet and think 20 steps ahead. Best of luck to you. From a mod standpoint I hope this will change your interaction with the community in a positive note, since sadly now you know first hand what the real life consequences can be
The absolute community outrage towards 343 is a little unwarranted. It definitely sucks to have a job offer revoked after investing time and money into the move to the new place, but remove the specific names and titles here for a second. Would this kind of outrage have precedent anywhere else? A company performing a background check on a prospective new employee and said employee not passing because of hateful remarks towards employees and partners - that's pretty much par for the course. The tragedy here is the witch hunt occurring across Reddit, Team Beyond and other forums for 343 right now. Again, it has to be terrible to be in this situation Multi. But I think the big problem right now is the community's reaction to all of this and the mindless, unjustified hate that is being thrown at 343.
Cause what has 343 done right? One step forward two steps back It should be their motto Looking forward to playing torque in h6 while someone kills me wall running with the flag while simultaneously shooting me with infinite rocket launcher ammo to ensure more flag captures happen because over time should be avoided
Yeah, the witch hunt could have been avoided (even multi told people to chill lol), but the outrage is more that they clearly didn't do a background check BEFORE hiring someone. In my experience, the order of hiring is: Receive application Approve application Interview Applicant Approve interview Background check Approve background check Hire employee. This is just how things are done, and is how you maintain a successful business if you outsource employees.
I agree that the circumstances of the background check happening AFTER the job offer are pretty shitty. I would be angry. The thing is I'm afraid that this issue would have come up in the future anyway, and his coworkers might have resented him leading to an even worse inter-staff conflict. There are a lot of perspective here other than "**** 343" which is the general kneejerk reaction that has come up across pretty much every medium.
You're right it was deleted. It was quickly becoming a starting point for everyone's so-called witch hunt. I hope everyone understands this, when I mean that I want to help protect members of this community not because it's my duty, but because I honestly care about you all. I think most of us are seeing the hard lesson that @MultiLockOn had to learn today. We all are strong willed and have our difference of opinions, but that's what makes us great. We're unique and we're the most creative group out there in the Halo community. We have to protect one another, even if we have to protect ourselves from self inflicted harm. The removal of the thread wasn't done out of favoritism to Multi, so stop thinking that before it begins (this isn't directed to any one person, only to those who are having those thoughts). Multi is 'Arguably' the most sought out member from our staff because of his candid nature comments (bad boy list). We're not going to go scrub everything Multi has said against 343i either. But that thread alone was being tossed around in the Halo community with people who really want to spread the toxic comments. We can be better than that. So let's not stoop that low. Everyone has their right to their opinion on 343i, ForgeHub staff, or any member out there on this site, there's no stopping you from having that. Just remember to be respectful, offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism not deconstructive comments, behind the words on the screen is an actual person. Whether or not you like Multi, we are a community and we need to help one another going forward. I'll say it again, ForgeHub has the most talented members in the Halo community. We basically built the Halo 5 MM playlists. From Grifball to Infection to this most recent Halo 3 playlist. YOU all made this happen. I recognize that, the ForgeHub staff recognizes it, the Halo community recognizes it and so does 343i. I am here to help you all, same goes with the Staff. Have any questions?? HMU. -Nitro
