Status update for the elephant temple: Using foliage as markers for clamber, I've turned the flow of battle from donut to chokepoints. There are 3 main areas where landing good shots will push an opponent to hold their position with limited hard routes of escape, all the while giving you time to get into position to combat said exit strategies. First is the temple, where dropping down means a loooong way back up. Second are the blood steps, where the second most segmented part of the map gives way to a flank from teleporter exit. Third is the stepping stones area. By volume it has the most options and cover, but is very awareness intensive and requires constant checking up on your opponent. The invisible laser was replaced by that spitfire/hydra combo, which is lethal at close range (countered by the other power weapon on the map), moderate skill for medium range, and ineffective at long range. Video coming soonish
My non submission 1v1 block out is complete! Anyone wanna run some games on it today send me and xbl message @ For Chub
Insert @A 3 Legged Goat rant about Halo 5. I think from now on I'm just going to design maps for Halo gameplay without Armor Abilities. They piss me off. As a result, I can't play the game because it's not fun for me. As a result, I don't understand how to design maps around them. As a result, the maps I try to design to accommodate them play like ****. As a result, I hate designing maps for Halo 5, while I simultaneously still love designing maps for Halo. So yeah...just gonna design for classic gameplay, even if I can't get anyone to test them with classic gameplay. I'll just imagine how they would play in a Halo game.
Quoted for reference: I forgot to shoot the hydra when I picked it up xd you'll just have to trust me on that one haha
Be like me, place one block, run around using abilities all over the map not even near what i just placed, fly back, repeat. If you can do something you don't want to be done, change one block, run around for 5 minutes, repeat.
@Qrrbrbirbel Played your elephant map last night with Seth. Really liked it, but man that map is small! I thought the ivy was super neat too.
I knew I wasn't the only one who does this, combine this with spawning a glitched weapon and shooting walls for 20 minutes.
