lol Its always fun going back and looking at old clips. A few months ago i went back and saved hundreds of them onto my PC. I realized this may not be as funny to you guys because the context is lost without voice chat but heres a compilation of our funniest moments. Just my 3 highschool best buddies and I. We all still play halo together regularly almost 10 years later. The things that happen in this montage dont happen in halo anymore. Thats why the new halos suck. 7:00 is my favorite clip of all time. So damn funny.
And this is why the PGA only plays on what look like football fields with a bunker or a lake and an easy dogleg rather than the jungles that are city operated courses like Rancho Park - anyone in LA should compare that course with the Riviera Country Club course to see what I mean - tons of flat open holes, and only a couple hills and banks that can really **** you up if you aren't careful, and they are VERY clearly delineated in the course design. An interesting example - think of St Andrews: regardless of the fact that it was scaled for the early 1900s, there are no hills, no trees, no 'weird' pathing, but all the hazards are very easy to understand. The heath is death, the bunkers are like artillery craters, and the greens are oiled slick - not to mention the wind factor. It may be one of the most difficult courses out there in terms of gameplay, it it is still featured prominently on TV because it makes those that are good at it look REALLY GOOD AT IT, and makes those who slip up provide an interesting subdrama to the eternal golf story of "civilized man vs brutal nature". As much as I want to see a golf course with crazy-ass 180 degree doglegs, hidden greens, and cliffs, the 'pros' (as they are now) won't look good on them because they'd play shitty - and that's not what sells PGA golf. And the courses that are tough, like St Andrews, still look good on TV - wide open greenery that does not distract from the golfers and their shots.
Brief note re. pathing - your designs are only as good as the dumbest player. From my own experience standing and watching people leave a garage out the wrong driveway, no matter how many signs you put in, no matter how 'subtle' the curve in the curb is, no matter how clear and/or intuitive you make it, some dumb **** will manage to completely screw up and blame their stupidity on you.
There's a reason I don't use death pits. I did in Reach and someone would always just walk off and die.
Oh my god that's going in my sig --- Double Post Merged, Jul 7, 2017 --- My signature is now massive and if you don't like it that's too bad
halo 5 is the only game where i can get in a fight and not hit a single bullet because the gun doesnt want to go where i point it inb4 "cuz it has the least auto aim" or "you just suck"
