@xzamplez my first impression of you was that you were a funny guy with stupid opinions. the only thing that has changed is that now i feel like sharing
It doesn't astound me. His forum persona is way over the top. He intentionally blows everything out of proportion. I don't like the persona personally, but it doesn't surprise me. The reasons why are irrelevant. The point is that you weren't there for most of it, and weren't comfortable contributing when you were there. And somehow the guy that was there, and actually judged the maps is to blame? In a judging scenario, even wrong opinions are better than no opinions. He did his job as a judge.
What the **** did you just ****ing say about me, you little *****? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in Game Design, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on HaloWaypoint, and I have over 300 confirmed Bookmarks on all of my 2v2 maps. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire UNSC. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the **** out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before In the Halo Universe, mark my ****ing words. You think you can get away with saying that **** to me over the Internet? Think again, ****er. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life, and the pathedic excuse of a reputaition you built within the Forging Community. You’re ****ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can Assassinate you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the UNSC and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of this forum, you little ****. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “opinion" was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ****ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will **** fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re ****ing dead, kiddo.
First, I take no responsibility for what went into matchmaking. Regarding the contest results, I have nothing to apologize for, which is why I haven't and won't apologize. I've said repeatedly that people take contest results way too seriously. I agreed to judge as a service to the community, which is obsessed with measuring who and what is better, and usually won't even participate in a contest unless there are winners and the potential for some type of reward. I was comfortable taking on the role of judge because I don't care if people are upset about the results (and I know they will always be upset with the results). I was there to judge, not to be right (right is always relative, a matter of perspective).
But seriously guys, this argument is ****ing stupid. Get over yourselves, everyone. I think we're all experienced enough with forge and level design to know that there's no one correct way to design a map, partially because everyone enjoys playing on different kinds of maps in the first place. Remove all of your inflated egos from this conversation and this could be a productive conversation to see the merits of each party's preferences in map design. And maybe we could, gosh, learn something about how others design maps and take that information to better ourselves as forgers. You don't have to agree with how another person designs a map or judges how a map plays to see its merit. This pissing contest is childish and shameful. The contest was almost a year ago and 343 couldn't even be assed to continue any sort of 2v2 forge playlist, so it really doesn't ****ing matter.
Or, we could look at the points that have been made and compare them? Instead of just telling people to get over themselves? Debate the Idea, not the person.
They're not though. I made a commitment and then gave an advanced notice that I would be unable to participate for X amount of time, during which I was replaced. I thought that was a professional courtesy. What was not professional was the rules of the contest suddenly changing and the amount of time to judge suddenly being diminished. I literally planned my schedule with the intention of returning to continue testing at the current pace, yet it had accelerated. And I don't know where ya'll get off on this whole "goat doesn't have his own opinions" card. Hangar, Hazard and Purple Reign were the most polished maps in the contest and I said going in that they would place in Top 10. But the way the selection of the rest of the maps was handled was absolutely embarrassing, and I will admit I "punked out" because it was a joke. If you hated all of the maps, that's all the more reason why opinions are meaningless. Ya'll want to run your contests with your circle of stupid opinions, then go right on ahead. But it's on you when that **** goes into matchmaking with ForgeHub's name attached to it and people in other communities look at the content we put out and say "Man, Forge maps sucks."
That's all good. I don't really have any problem with you criticizing the contest. I had a problem with you placing the blame on one of the judges, who was not self appointed, and was there as a volunteer, just like you were.
Xzamples has been talking out of his ass for like 10 pages now and dodges every point raised against him. He would rather argue semantics than entertain the thought that he is wrong about something. There's nothing left to discuss when you're talking to a dumbass. For the record, I don't even agree with Multi's absolutist attitude - I have called it out to him several times before - but he is one of the few people who can back up what he says and actually admits when he is wrong. I don't even believe in debates anymore. Some people just don't know what they're talking about. The difference is some don't want to be told otherwise.
I'm not placing the blame on any one person. I've raised enough against criticism against everyone including myself.
What does that have to do with anything? I didn't post it to show the game. --- Double Post Merged, Mar 25, 2017 --- Why would I disagree? I know you haven't seen all of my maps, so I couldn't take the statement to heart. But, even if you had, I have no problem with the opinion. It is a solid design, because Tyrant is a good map designer. You did a fine job forging it.
My untrained eye could've never known ahahahahaahahaha It's not a persona and I'm not blowing anything out of proportion. The fact that HANGAR, is a map that won several hundred dollars and then sat in matchmaking for 2 months is stupid. The fact that Malta was in matchmaking is stupid. These are words typed on a forum they're only as overblown as you perceive them to be. @xzamplez and I've never placed all the blame on you. Warholic isn't posting in here so I didn't mention him but he's literally notorious for having awful opinions so I didn't even think it was worth bringing him into discussion. I've talked to chunk in the past about his choices and I don't agree with most of them; only difference is that he's still not in denial about the shitty ones like Malta like you are. You're literally incapable of conceding anything, and as you've shown the last several pages you're unimaginably close minded. Kinda like what squally used to be. Goat has also admitted fault several times publicly and has changed his opinions since the contest.
I provide all this free entertainment for you guys because the waywo has been slow and I don't even charge for it. You're welcome
