You're the only judge in denial about how **** your choices were. Choices that affected thousands of people who liked playing doubles. Choices that potentially screwed a lot of good people out of a lot of money. It's not like my teles are HARD to see, they're just not green rectangles. It's scientifically proven that if it's not green it's impossible to tell its a pipe.
But if you're playing Mario and see a blue pipe, you'd probably stand on top of it and press down to see what happens. The key is that it's easily recognizable as a pipe. It's why lifts aren't invisible and man cannons have some sort of indication as to what the hell it is. Don't make it a green door, but don't put a Telly inside of a tree for example and then ***** when people say they can't find the Telly
Yeah, but then it wouldn't look like a normal tree. The player would see it and know that it's more than just a tree. That's the key
Eh I immediately knew something was up with Oblivion's tele's. Thought it was a pretty clear portal considering the other death pits were lava. I gave multi **** for the fire place teleporters on the Shire ( which were stupid) but I actually really dig Oblivions tele's. dont think there is anything wrong with them
Oblivions teles are what more teles should be like. First thing I did on the Crypt was jump in that deathpit cus it looked like a jump in tele Tele
Is this Pueblo (I think that's what you called it)? If so, looks really good man. Quite realistic, love the window A/C unit.
Marona is the new version now. Basically it's everything I wanted to do with Pueblo and I finally just got around to doing it. It's an Italian style now rather than the Mexican town it was before. It's based off the colorful towns of Cinque Terre.
The Shire had the worst teleporters, occuring at a time when everyone was using fire for decorations or deterrents. Most people associate fire with death and that wasn't intuitive at all. The key to making a teleporter intuitive is to beckon the player to investigate. Legion doesn't tell you when exactly you will teleport, but it's a dark hallway that incites curiosity. I'm sure if Multi cared, he would have updated it with some of the new FX that were added after he made the map. (We didn't even have rain until April 2016 and Legion was months before that.) But Multi doesn't like to work on old maps, which I think is a shame because I enjoy Legion more than I thought I would considering that it was immediately dismissed while testing for the contest. Really though, this discussion is like a year old. I don't even remember the last time I talked about Spellbound, but my tele is still the best.
Dunno. My tele is pretty metal. Nah but seriously I really dig this portal. I will say I do still kinda miss the yellow though
I think my wayshrine style tele was pretty cool despite the map it being on having a terrible layout amazingly wasted concept art
When the waywo starts shaking like this you know it's almost time for Forgehub's synchronized period week. Kidding, please carry on.
