Quit hating on design snobs. They are inexperienced and don't know any better. Also, someone inform me when we get a normal halo game again so I can makes maps and actually want to play them.
What a gameplay snob. H5 is a great game. You're just inexperienced and don't know any better. I can't stand playing this game either .
No matter how you do a single atrium map, you're either fighting the person directly next to you and chasing them up/down or you're fighting someone directly across from you. I'm sure there's some ways to fiddle with the concept if someone out there is truly talented enough to do it but I have yet to see it, and until that day comes single atrium donut maps will forever be boring and uninteresting @a Chunk @purely fat
My portal map is a donut. Looks like it's for the trash. Literally what I built Jumping from dark grey to light grey is impossible. Pardon my MS paint.
Halo 5 is inherently boring, so pretty much everything is boring unless it's pretty to look at. At this point, it's more impressive to push art boundaries than it is to push design boundaries, because you're building in Halo 5 and nobody really cares about what this game has to offer.
Not because I can't do art (LOL) but i would personally rather drool over a very well thought out blockout with a high learning curve. Unfortunately halo 5 does suck so i see what you are saying. HMM lets all just design for classic settings only. **** MM and clamber and all that bullshit. Its easier to pump out maps when you dont have to worry about having superpowers.
Interpreting top down layout drawings of maps is literally my 1 weakness. Like I have no ****ing clue what I'm looking at when you show me those.
