I'll roast whoever I wanna roast. Judging by the amount of likes on my original post, a lot of ppl were inclined to agree with me haha. The reason I find it pathetic is that he's coming on a forge forum and " feeling sorry" for people who are still forging... Gaming is gaming, all of it is a waste of time and I find his"pity" for us forgers to be extremely laughable coming from somone who is on WoW nonstop. How is that anymore depressing then ppl forging? I'm fed up with the dumb ass posts he makes simply to get attention. Kid needs to grow up. I'm done. Edit: When I have more time I'll respond your last post xandrith. H5 Forge is extremely similar to the visual arts. The possibilities are nearly endless. Its much more then just an advanced" puzzle " like you claim.
Well most forgers outside this website do not forge because they are aspiring designers, they do it cause it's fun. I agree with Xandrith for the most part, about people who are simply waiting for 343 to pick them out of a crowd or get noticed. I've been in this for what 9 years now? We go through stages. I've been in all of them at one point. I can't pity forgers for generating content, in fact it's a beautiful thing to come here and share it with the public. What I can say, is that I pity the quality content makers of this community who are disregarded. Forging isn't a waste of time at all Salty. At the very least, you're developing a skill set that would lead to a transition into level design if you so choose. If not, you are getting better at just making custom games for you and your friends. Both are exercising the brain in progressive ways, that strengthen patterns of thinking. The two are non sequiturs as far as I'm concerned. Completely different ideas that have little to no competition with each other. I am far past the point of acting out for the sake of humiliation, since it does nothing for us professionally. It generates awareness within our community but is quickly disregarded from 343 especially. If you don't suck ass, you won't go anywhere in this industry. That's made more clear now than ever. Speaking strictly of 343/gaming. I might have went off topic, but all we can really do, is do what makes us happy. If he wants to play WoW, go for it. If you want to forge, go for it. I forge cause I need to prove to myself I'm better than other people. Is that sad? I couldn't care less. I take pride in my work. I know what I'm doing, and am fine with it.
Like I've already said, my posts were never meant to annoy you or anyone else, or put anyone down. I'm sorry that they came off that way. Anyways, maybe you should start practicing a little introspection if you think that I'm the one who needs to grow up after making fun of me and calling me stupid for playing a game you don't like.
I enjoy Forging as a creative outlet, but 343 is an unprofessional and incompetent developer and I think it's a tremendous waste of time to work with them to produce content for their game. I'd still be Forging and supporting the community for the community's sake regardless because it's fun, but I'm too old to be playing video games that often, so I'm putting my time into developing actual artistic skills.
This is well said man. Forge is a great tool for creative thought and having true fun. As kids we all dream and play games with our minds. Pretending were people and characters we aspire to be and look up too. Why shouldn't we do something that gives us happiness. It truly is sad though when people take such a great experience and just shits on everyone's fun. If your an aspiring level designer testing your skills or just some random making some map for your friends to play, it doesn't matter. Forge is made for us all, that's what makes it so great! It's really sad to see what this community is turning into. A once think tank in Halo 3, now in Halo 5 it's nothing but bitching. Hopefully this can be turned around before a lot of great forgers I call my friends leave for good.

Not because of the maps, but because I feel terrible for the people who still love Halo and try to do their part." I posted this directly after a short conversation was had about Halo's extremely low population. I'm not bitching, I'm not putting anyone down, I'm literally just sharing that I get sad that people who still love Halo try and try but have been absolutely shafted by 343. I've taken the cowards way out and just given up, but to look at people who truly still want to do their part to help Halo makes me sad, because I know that 343 will continue to screw them over. There, do you guys understand now? I'm just a human with empathy, cut me some ****ing slack for heavens sake.
Geez, dat 4chub drama. Maybe it's a bad time to post some WIP pics? Eh, I don't care. Here's some pics of my update to my older map Recluse. I've been working on this update since pre-fabbing arrived and I could move the map to Tidal. Happy to say it's almost there The goal of this update was to completely revitalize the map and bring it to it's full potential. Part of this was to alter the map to play BTB, a more suitable player size for the scale of this map. I also added new routes and updated visuals. Some framerate issues rn, but I'm working on it. I'll be updating the thread after I get some testing in
I think Halo 5 forge is the sheeit. (minus framerate issues) For me, forge satisfies a part of my brain that is not perhaps used as much in school or work - the creative part, where there is not memorizing, conforming to rules, or rapid, critical thinking (although I actually love those parts too, and don't have a problem with them). Forge is a relaxing, creative, sometimes tedious, visceral expression of love for the halo universe and the community - a throwback to our childhoods. I am - relatively - a noob, but I will not give up on Halo and will always try to be a part of #makeHalogreatagain2016 In my limited coforge and forge projects, I've always tried to bring dat nostalgia and it is my hopes that forge projects can bring the community together - both older/'classic' Halo players like myself - and new players who are accustomed to H5 gameplay.
First off Xandrith. You quit forge, what 3/4 months ago? You basically only come here to respond to multi and shitpost/say dramatic things for likes... like.. "Youre all a bunch of smelly nerds" "Im gonna forge.... NAH" Youv'e built a reputation for yourself. You are a human and your'e right, you may post whatever you like but the sum of what you post has an affect on how I and others interpret your posts. Im only human as well. I clearly misinterpreted your post as you looking down on us or feeling sorry for us. Thank you for clarifying and Im a mature enough to admit I was overzealous, so I apologize. I also feel bad about the way 343I has handled this game and disregarded many of the forgers who are willing to spend there time to improve it and make content for it. At this point many of us simply forge because we like to forge and we make maps for ourselves and our friends to play on. That is all. 343i doesn't have to notice us because not many of us our motivated by that anymore, nor were ever motivated by that.
Just because people are still forging and posting maps doesn't mean that they are trying to work with 343i to improve forge. Most people are more than satisfied with where forge is it at especially compared to how it was in previous installments. It sounds surprising, but the vast majority of people who are forging, especially this far into the game's life, are doing it because they enjoy it. They find it fun.
Fire every person at 343 who makes the game play, story and art direction decisions, and keep the Forge team. If I actively hate the game, I can't bear anymore to look at forge...it's a reminder that you got the tool but for a completely different experience. And no Halo 3 anniversary. Screw them. I am serious. You are the assholes who killed my beloved series, changed as many things visually and game play as you could while claiming it's still Halo. It's HINO - Halo In Name Only. You created a clone other games, showing you are just rejects who couldn't hang with your favorite, so you got hired to change it, but all you losers did is not lisen to the fans that mattered, which in turn caused you to ruin Halo. Good job. You ran it into the ground. I actually have an aversion to even loading it up now. GREAT JOB GUISE! I mean it. Fire the lot of them. Get another job, another field, get on un-employment, live off your significant other's income, live with your parents. I want you to suffer as you don't have the talent to compete or make it relevant. I don't give a ****, as Xbox/343 have siphoned enough of my money. Until next time, I am not your sucker anymore.
Like I said, I love this website. I do NOT care about likes, and I only come to share or crack a joke when I'm feeling cheeky. If you honestly thought that those posts were any more than that, then I no Idea what to say. I was about to just like your post and move on, but "overzealous"? Really? That's such a ****ing cop out, salty. I've literally just lost all the respect I had for you. At first you bombard me with insults for no reason, but I can understand that, people are emotional creatures, and emotions are fickle. But then your apology consists of "I'm mature enough to admit I was overzealous." Like, really? All you've been is overzealous and mature huh?
