I started a new Pegasus around 2-3 weeks ago and decided id show you guys while i work on the new Viking. Here is the playspace blockout and some descriptions. I aimed to keep from stretching the map out, maintaining weapon placements and making it a fair game for both teams. Main stuff to note: There is a fair fight for rockets, OS and snipe. Blue base has been built up with an equivalent to red stairs. Bottom red grass area has direction/cover/seperation. There are two new slide sneakies that are awesome aswell. The whole map was built with simples because i want to keep it... simple. Its labeled 'NEW PEGASUS WIP' on my GT. Top Red Red Overview Red Bottom Mid Snipe and bottom stairs. There is an indent in the staircase wall to the left of the slide sneaky aswell. Lanterns are the new meta[l] They're the most aesthetically pleasing and immersive way to color code a map without looking tacked on. I'm pretty much going to have them on all of my non Halo themed maps.
It's been 9 months since the last MCC update. They updated MCC today. They added griffball and they reordered the playlists to go from most played to least. Lmao.
Heres a handful of shots of what ive got going for the new viking so far too. Completely rebuilt the bases with primitives and saved tons of resources, the map has more cover and routes everywhere, vehicles still have good pathing, added vehicle jumps into both bases, added 2 speed boosts and an OS, added a single sword ghost(will be doing more with vehicles but i dont know what yet), removed all but 4 H5BRs(gonna have pistols everywhere), adjusted weapon pads and tons of other stuff requested from reddit extended update discussion. New bases rebuilt with primitives, textures, FX. New wall side Adjusted Pelican side some New Red Yard New blue yard
I really like the shape of everything, it looks like very interesting geometry to play on. For when you start arting up the map, I’ll reiterate what I’ve said before: I very much like the clean, modern feel of Pegasus.
White/Silver with some Blue accents, along with the team base colors. I’d shoot for an airy and clean feel. I also really like the windows/cages around the map on the current version, seeing out into the canvass instead of starting at a wall is nice.
Does anyone know of or have a list of items that are known cause screen lag? I've seen various ways to reduce the screen lag, but didn't know if someone has created a comprehensive list.
