Anyone remember this? No? Okay, well I'm revisiting it because of the marble texture/Ivy. Here's what I have so far (no textures) I'll also be changing the layout a good bit along with downscaling.
Halo series - Girl you been with for ages, she goes off the deep end and gets mixed up in drugs but you still love her despite wanting to leave Doom - Girl who has been teasing you on the side for a while and gives you feels that yo bae no longer do, so you flirt without yo bae knowing Overwatch - Girl you meet randomly one day and don't think anything about her at first, but the more you hang out with her the more you genuinely want her. So you set the wheels in motion to cut off yo side chick and friendzone your bae
Most of it is speculation because 343 refuses to give us population counters. Before they removed the Xbox most played list from the dashboard you could see where halo 5 sat (usually anywhere from 10 - 15). Both battlefield and star wars provide stat tracking so if halo is sitting one or two spots underneath BF, you just go to BF's website and see their own live population counter. MOST of the time the game only had around 10k people on... Which is sad for halo
I don't even know where to start with these textures. The only pieces I think will be annoying to not have the textures though is gonna be stairs, but we'll probably still manage to create some amazing looking things. 343 Forge team, you're one of the only saving graces of that company.
this **** is insane... I replaced 10 objects on my map with the new primitive primitives and dropped 15% lightmap. Who was it that said less polygons wouldn't effect lighting again? Anyways, I'm loving the update. The textures are incredible. My marble masterpiece is on the way.
In all honesty the jersey barriers look a little out of place, I feel like we can do some much more now with the new textures. That floor though... Anyways, I'm a simple man. I see stone I build castle.
The only gripe I have is the base metal texture is now different on primitives than on the rest of the pieces like stairs. Some of my completed maps look funky and may take some restructuring to look right. Starting a map from scratch with these textures is going to be so much fun though. I'm most excited about the wood and the stone.
Truly excited to see what everyone comes up with over the next few weeks as the textures are an amazing addition.
I like them a lot. I was trying to recreate the patterns that often show up in roman/greco architecture., like this But, to each his own.
