As a former member of Bungie.net's The Flood I am disappointed in Multi's amateur alt account skills.
Alright, so my 1v1 is coming a long nicely. I have probably 20 games on it and I almost have the spawns fully worked out. Even after so many games I think it's still fun to play. Although the layout is simple and small there are still a few ways to out maneuver your opponent which is always fun. My problem is lighting. I have tried spot and point lights and every time it turns everything splotchy. I have been playing without lighting at all and it is doable. I would like to figure this lighting deal out though, is there another technique I could use aside of just putting down lights with a large length ratio? The map looks so good without generating lighting, I wish I could just turn it off. Here are some before and after pictures of generating lighting. Before: After: Before: After: Any advice someone could give me? I would really like to figure this out. How bad does it really look when the lighting is generated? It is playable but I think it looks quite awful. Also, I'd like some feedback, if anyone would be willing to play a game with their friends that would be appreciated, or even doing a fly through and letting me know your thoughts and opinions. Like I said though, the spawns still aren't perfect. It is saved as 'Gow .8 no lighting' GT:Yevah
Hello, I have been busy with the Mortal Kombat map. I'm happy with all the map, there is some minor changes to be made to the dragons mouth, and I've now added Goro to Goro's layer. I was trying to make the 2 strange creatures on either side of the top of the pit, failed miserably with the lack of small pieces. Done a few small tests and it's been fun and had positive feedback so far but I do need to try to get a full lobby on it. I have 2 different versions of the gametype for testing one made from the original halo reach version. Luckily it's still on here <) really feels like something else with the ground pound extended slide and slowed down finishers It has helped to capture the essence of a fighting game. should accommodate a full lobby of 16? but gametype may have to be adjusted.
MOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRTAAAALLLLLLL KOOOOOOMBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! Du du du du do da, du du du du do da........
I can't wait until we get the new update so you can finish this up. I also can't wait to see everyones interpretation of this map for the ForgeLabs May contest here.
Looks like an interesting challenge. I love capturing the aesthetic features of a map. Might give this a go!
That dragon is so cool. I feel like this past week or two the WAYWO thread has been in its prime. So many maps being posted and they all look awesome.
Thanks, the dragon and Goro still needs a little more work but it's getting there I like this thread, Throwing a few pictures out keeps me from posting maps too eagerly. want to get them just right.
Hey guys! I just posted my baby in the map section. http://www.forgehub.com/maps/seatown.2432/ Give her a look!
Is there any way to turn the text off on the pictures in the map section? It's seriously annoying. I don't need or want the map name posted in big letters overlayed on top of every picture for the map.
