That is the best case for ****ed lighting there is. Send that to Duros with the file name and GT

 

The GIF is fine. if you can make the frames last longer it'd be better but it's obvious as is.

 

the trick is to design all your maps with a lighting source and mood in mind.

 

I might start using sketchup to make maps and give em away nexn style

 

Gotta have a mass of people who worship your designs religiously first

 

Get Gifcam for gifs. It's a really easy and straightforward way of making gifs. Also, cameras in Forge are great for comparison videos/gifs.

Any way to block weather fx? Like so it's not raining indoors on my map.

 

No... I could have put rain in my ODST map

 

I like how they went out of their way in the steam to mention that all the effects are affected by wind..


And none of them are affected by wind.

 

When I tried today they were actually affected

 

Dang, really? When I was messing with them the day they came out, nothing was changing. Rain just kept falling straight down, the embers wouldn't move, the dust wouldn't move. I'll have to give it a lookk again.

 

Yeah wind works with them

 

Anyways the rain (and everything else) that falls through walls is kinda a bummer... basically if you want weather in your maps these have to be completely outdoor

I have seen things but they don't impress me all too much.

 

no. they're screen effects not actual weather effects on the map.

 

Duros was talking with the forge team experimenting with No Weather Zones. So we MAY see it in the future or not, still nice to have weather now though.

 

Anyone know how to get the decal trick working again? I think the update messed it up.
