I think I figured it out. I just played Long night of solace through all three sections right to the end fight but I had to go to work so I saved it and then shut everything down. Now that I'm trying to restart it wants to start me from back in Nightfall even though it's already showing as completed as well as Tip of the spear showing as completed. On top of that it doesn't show any of the missions in the Long Night of solace as completed even though I was at the end battle. So basically this **** is bugged. Most likely a glitch with Cloud saves. I guess the only blessing is that it's one of the shorter missions in the game. I just hate those last two waves of air battles and I can't help but feel short on weapons going through the covenant ship. Man do I miss co-op.
Here is the stream I did Wednesday night about starting maps. I kinda ramble sometimes but I think there some decent stuff in there.
From newest to oldest..... Concillium Been out of it for a few months, spent awhile on this one, but I am open to any suggestions, even major ones. Spent longer on the layout than anything else, and the only budget I got close on was lighting. I am a fan of slightly larger 4v4 map style that I guess is a bit more classic now, though it can get away from me a bit. Starting playtesting this week. Also had several maps from earlier this year, Clarity was a challenge to myself to use only breakout pieces and keep it to layout as much as possible, plays well but I am open to critique. Herald is a rough blockout/layout inspired by Hang Em High and similar larger old-school maps, for long sight lines and long frags. I will likely just use it as a basis, rather than swap pieces in, so this one is the most open for suggestions. Sultan I have mixed feelings about, it was at this point in forging that I relized I needed to focus more on layout rather than art/visuals. Had fun with it but meh. And finally, an octagon variation. I had the idea for Octagon 3.6 over a year ago but struggled with the spawning and scripting issues until today. It still needs some playtesting but I have high hopes.

Im now working on a map called Apprehension. Apprehension will be set on a forerunner planet, with inspiration from Requiem in Halo 4.
So todays live episode of Level Design w/Seth will be delayed. This is due to building a new computer and having to use the power supply from my current. Will 100% be live next week. Thanks for the suppprt from the first episode and we will be back up and running next week.
Why is destruction so unimpressive compared to creation? I miss seeing WIPs from you... Mind Rot Legends makes me sad.
Playing other games, Google searching art, staring at city landscapes or even street layouts help to inspire new level design. The push and pull flow of battle in Apex Legends is very different and still has some similarities of halo maps and player movement which may give people new ideas for their upcoming maps. He may be inspired to build a Ravine map with zip lines and buildings staggered along the winding cliff sides. It may work in Halo with the right inspired person. Swordbase and Optic Prison style play is how it would play out in my mind, but feel free to build it if anyone likes.
Art is mfw my entire friends list is on Apex and flavor text is my reaction when I lose a good forger too it haha
Haven't posted in forever. Working on a big team map and just finished the layout, basically ready for testing Slayer at the moment. Problem is I don't know what the hell I'm doing in relation to lighting and such. It's not terrible at 242 lightmap though lol (which I've heard is fixable through lighting tricks as well as optimal piece usage [which I'm bad at]). Just wanted to see if someone is up to the challenge if teaching a lighting tard. Got some pics
This is pretty much the basics but should help. The key thing is just mess around with turning light bake of on things. You'll quickly pick up what works and what doesn't .
